Seems to all be there. Some light stains here and there but very happy with my purchase.

May be a zipper for an annex? i know my arb stuff has a boltrope and zipper to attach a room, panel, etc

That looks like the zipper for the cover.

OK, I have mine home and I have decided that I really do not want that weight up on the rack on the 70. I wasn’t sure at the time of the group buy but the price was too good to pass up. If there is anyone that wanted one of these and didn’t get in on the buy and still wants one, PM me and we’ll talk. I’ll pass it along to an ONSC member for exactly what I have in the tent and accessories ....

Anyone set it up solo and gotten it up on their LC without help? Just wondering how much effort it takes to put up and take off.

IF you value your test tickles in their current location and configuration, you need to either rig up a hoist system, or get some assistance. While it is possible, it isnt very practical.

I used to remove my 4runner hardtop by myself when i was 20, and its a minor miracle that my back and fellas are in usable condition. LOL

Ha! I removed the hard top off of my Sahara a few times and it was basically a ‘catch and slide it’ scenario. Not practical or smart.

They make Hitch hoists and they are on eBay for $180....but they barely reach the top....I find it hard that these would be of any quality.

This was from this past weekend. I set it up to fold to the rear, mostly because it was the easiest thing to do with the roof rack I have. I think the only downside to having it rear facing is that it is very wide. I caught a lot of branches and limbs on some of the narrow trails, I dont think the tent would survive this long term. One nice thing about this setup is that there's more available space on the roof rack. It's a pretty awesome tent.

I’d be interested in the extra mounting rails and extra travel cover if @mtweller doesnt want them

Got mine all the way set up. Soaked a T-shirt in the heat. Damn it’s hot.

Didn’t get all the rain fly thingies in place but I’ll give it a whirl before I put it away.....after the sun goes down.

It’s a pain in the ass.

Putting it away is a ‘oh, that’s how it goes’ do it 3 times over and over again hassle. Now that I know how it works and how the cover has a CHANNEL to slide into before zippering THEN strapping. It’s gonna be reasonably quick. Doable alone. But a 2 person job if you can.

If we had a problem with bears, cougars, wolves, etc. I’d say the RTT is key. But we don’t. So a ground tent is waaaay easier.

If I paid $2000 for this I’d have nothing but praise I bet :)

Ever been flooded out of a ground tent during a deluge? That’s a huge buzz kill and the main reason I even considered a RTT. That being said, I agree that the RTT is a pita.

Keep the rain fly tight otherwise you may not float away, but a drip-drip-drip right on your forehead at 3 am is also a major buzzkill o_O

Setting up a ground tent to be truly comfortable is an art. An air mattress makes it easier, but selecting a decent tent site can be tricky. A RTT has its own challenges, but I feel like my family and I will be exponentially more comfortable up there vs laying on sloped ground and hidden roots.
