The truck is ready for vacation. Here are some gratuitous photos of the stout TT UCAs and the truck sans roof stuff.

^Anyone have any idea what this noise may be. I thought it was gone after the suspension tweaks but it's definitely still there. It seems to be correlated with wheel speed and I can generally only hear it below 25 mph but it could just be that wind/engine noise drowns it out. I don't hear it at idle and I can't make it happen with more RPM. I haven't yet determined whether braking makes it go away, but I know the noise does not get worse when braking.

Any chance a dust shield behind a rotor got slightly tweaked? Usually those have a bit more ring to them than what I am hearing from yours but its worth a look and common for them to get bumped into the rotor so they touch at times.

Sure it is somewhere in the thread but those are Mike’s bumpers from BIO right? At least the front looks like it is.

Definitely sounds like it’s spinning, opposed to rattling or something creaky like ball joint, etc.

Oh... just seeing shield-mention posts now... +1.

Sounds like a dust shield, I had the same think but only when I turned left.

How many miles on CV? Seems dry.

Pretty much 55k on the nose. I haven't noticed any leaking but did experience a concerning clicking/popping noise last week primarily on steep switchbacks. It got worse as the week went on and now I'm hearing it with even when parking.

There's nothing noticeable on the outside. I'm trying to convince the local dealer to rule out other possible scenarios but at some point I guess it's cheaper to just replace the CV. I'm fairly confident we've ruled out anything suspension/steering-wise as I hear the popping even once the steering wheel zeros back out.

I have a spare cv axle if you need it.

There's no final conclusion on the CV yet but I'll say it's been a bit of an ordeal. I think it's straightened out now but I'm holding my breath until the work is done. On the plus side, the seat belt tensioner recall work was done on my truck while it was at the dealer.

I've also finally gotten around to pulling Cruise Moab photos off my devices as well as some photos from LCDC.

I'll start with a few from the Four Corners area before CM.

Monument Valley, Ouray in May, and Shiprock

First round of Cruise Moab. The original plan was the full Kokopelli Trail but the weather prevented that route. We made the most of it and had a blast doing Dome Plateau and ToTW with camping at Robert's Bottom mixed in. Some of us also did a fun afternoon warm-up run on Fins.
