I installed the stock Hydramatic steering column this week.

He’s a smart man… You save a lot of money by avoiding tickets and keeping point of your license too!

In preparation for the 68’s re-power, I started working on the LT1 this weekend.

Yesterday I separated it from the 4l60e and mounted it to the engine stand.

Today I removed the ECU and wiring harness.

Then the smog pump was removed.

Next all of the accessories were removed.

Now it’s ready for inspection.

I thought this made for an interesting picture.

Meanwhile the security team spent the day in the break room.

I read an article on an FBI stakeout at a Hells Angel’s bar where there was a hidden camera above the bar behind a picture of a naked girl. Each time the guys would look up adoringly at the photo, the FBI would obtain clear frontal photos of them.

See what I’m getting at?

I went to a swap meet in Nashville yesterday with a friend. I bought a rebuilt tilt steering column for the 68’. And some other junk for the shop.

I have wanted a bull skull for some time, but didn’t want to spend the money those things command these days. I found this one yesterday for $50.00.

I also picked up these cart wheels for my wagon project.

I bought another toy, er I mean tool for the shop. I plan to use it for wiring both engines and test running them before installation. The test stand will fold flat for storage.

I don’t think it has a brand. A fellow in Tuscumbia is making them and selling them on marketplace. A friend had purchased one and recommended it.
