Old timers down by Lake City where we had a ranch in the family would drag old single wides into the high country with a dozer for use as cow camps. When they had to tear one out, back went the dozer. Technique was to smash 'em flat, roll 'em up and load the remains into the back of the old highway dept. dump truck/snow plow someone usually had around for winter use clearing ranch yards and feeding grounds. Blade technique was amazing. Burning would have been easier but conditions on the USFS and BLM grazing leases usually didn't allow it.

Don’t disagree with ya Don, I’ve got good sized grapple for the skid steer that should be able to do some pretty good damage or at least be able to finish what the termites have started.

I tore out our deck in Colorado with buddies excavator with a thumb, made life a lot easier. That was pre skid steer!
I got the pleasure of watching a house get shredded recently. Good size ex demolished the home and then fed it to a gigantic wood chipper. The chipper spit out the shreds on to the garage slab. Whole place probably fit into 1-2 dump trucks. Pretty impressive sight, but I don’t think I would want to be breathing that air around the mulch pile.

Afternoon up in the Mtns with daughter 🙌🏻 I’m happy she still enjoys these outings together.

Be interesting to see that roof after some highway driving.

Well that’s the boys dog, who we have pretty much rescued from a 21 year old kid who never should have a dog,

Gypsy took awhile to come to me last month but when she came running from the barn she had a duck in her mouth. Not trying to kill it instead the duck was just looking around like it was along for the ride. Gypsy walked into the mud room, set duck down and went right into the trailer. I picked duck up the slightly injured duck, carried it back to the pen and it did fine.

First occurrence she took a duck and ran off behind shop although we never actually saw her do it. My tracking skills following bunches of feathers revealed some damn big paws. Not coyote stuff nor could it be my labs. I was certain we had duck eaten and walked back to house where lying next to the carport was a more then slightly injured duck but he too survived.

We watch gypsy much more carefully now and she has had some training with a collar and comes to us quickly when called. She even stopped chasing a whitetail yesterday in the woods when I hollered at her. Although the last thing we needed was another dog and I tried my best to find home for her initially, now she is just part of the family.

Short story on our "Gypsy", Jeri wanted a German Sheppard for our next dog and none had shown up on the farm in a while, so we found @ a six month puppy in the Indiana Humane Society. They said, we'll meet you in Illinois, so we drive there and they hand us our GS.....

I looked at Jeri and said, " boy, did we get gipped " , so we named her Gypsy. After almost fifteen years she only grew to @ forty pounds and still going strong. I guess we'll keep her. :)

Got that right! She liked hunting those moles. Now she just sniffs the mounds and walks on. I guess we all get to retire. :)
Our lawn looks like a mine field that has blown up. Between the three of them I’m surprised there is a single mile within a mile of the farm.

Only matter of time before we injure our selves in those darn holes.

That's a great story! In my experience, there is always a good bit of mischief that goes along w/ being associated w/ a GSD - they always have a bunch of what seem like good ideas at the time...
