Ok. Been outside sand blasting all day and used 10 bags of sand. A big cleanup but it was worth it. All the interior side structures are clean and most of the floor.

Hello,

Does this Troopie have just one fuel tank?

Just curious.

Keep up the good work.

Juan
It does now. We patched the opening for the rear tank.

Just one tank. The build has a 30 gallons stainless water tank in the back. Figured with a 1HDT we can get 500 miles on a 25 gallon tank.

Nothing exciting to photograph the last couple days. Just been welding all the panels on and filling spot weld holes.
"patience young grasshopper".

This evening. The transmission shifter is further back than the original, so this plate had to be moved back and the floor reshaped and some metal work.

I welded the square clip holes and put some weld nuts into the new attachment location points. I’m adding another bolt hole in the front also. It’s pretty tight around the perimeter, so a seal should make good contact at installation. It took a while to get the rear corners reshaped to fit the plate but it looks nice .

nice work! one day mine will come down for a visit

Ok, lots of work underneath this thing. It’s almost done and ready to sand blast. It’s taking a while welding everything and finishing the small areas of rust. This floor never stops! Door bodywork is done and primer block sanded. Ready for the second coat.
