Glad you're OK - and big testament to the frame integrity & having a armor bumper.

He'll have to be a smart SOB to get parts, assuming he can repair & has ability to do it all under the radar.

Round up a posse and I'll bring a rope! Let's get this SOB!!
Glad you lived to tell the story and I think those dents are perfect.

Thank you all for your kind words and support. This truly is a great community that I am proud to be a part of.

I spoke to my insurance company and have an appointment with the adjuster on Tuesday to get an estimate. Accidents on Fridays are not recommended . I'm honestly not optimistic about it knowing how these things work. This isn't my first insurance rodeo.

Now that it is not the crack of dawn and I'm at home were I can assess the damage, here are some more pics. Obvious damage to the bumper. The front fender dented and pushed in, broken corner marker light, slight damage to the front corner of the hood, a rub mark on flare, some rubbing in the passenger door, and a broken side mirror. All cosmetic.

But given the age of the truck... :(

Dent on the PS fender looks like the perfect spot for a snorkel...:hmm:

Not bad for going 50 mph. Good to hear you weren't hurt. Will be interesting to see what the estimate will be. Reminds me of an incident one of our club members had when some douche tried passing him on a trail run during a run with another club.

DAMN!!! Beat me to it! The dent is perfectly placed for the snorkel penetration!

Get a chain and a winch or a jack and straighten the ARB.

Glad you're OK! How the heck did he hit you on the RIGHT side that far up???? Yeah dashcam footage of that would've been good!

When the adjuster comes out, be really cool and chill with them. Take an interest in them, ask if they need some coffee. Then ask if they can make sure to not write up the estimate so high that it will be totalled. This has worked for me every time, and every time I have fixed my vehicle completely and still had extra cash. They just write it up to the limit b4 it reaches the amount they would total it. Buy a used fender, prep it yourself, mount it, then have a shop shoot it. The bumper can be bent back, but won't have quite the same structural integrity. POR15 chassis black in a aerosol looks very close to powder coat for touching up the bumper.

@98 SNAKE EATER What cam setup are you running? I really like the multiple angles.

I'm running an Eyemax DVR in the glove box with cheap EBay cameras

IMHO, the best bang for the buck is an Amberella S0801 (or similar, they have to many different names coming from China)

I picked up a bunch of them for $35 bucks a pop on EBay a while back and put them in every vehicle in the household :)

Built in LCD
Micro SD Slot
Auto-Looping (records over oldest footage when card is full)
Built in battery (allows you to remove from charging base to use as a regular camera if needed)

Just go to my channel and do a search for "Dash Cam" lol

So the verdict is in. $4861.72 in damages. My insurance company is NOT totaling it. :bounce:

The adjuster said my truck is in great condition on the exterior other than the recent damage, spotless interior, added that I have every receipt (in chronological order of course), and the fact that I carry an additional $5000 in accessory protection helps my cause ;).

Time to start hitting the classifieds and CL looking for parts.

:steer:

Nice "grab" on eBay! I saw a bunch of them a couple years ago for $30-$35 (? +/-) and passed (like the fool I am) on them..... still kicking myself in the a**!

Looks like a time for a snorkel to cove some of the damage.

I had a commercial truck driver tell me insurance premiums are much lower with a dash cam. Not sure if that rolls over to non commercial. Might be Worth looking into for you guys that attract carnage.

That'll buff out.
