I may be camping in the back of the 60.

I am bringing the 80 and was planning on doing the same but didn't want to be sitting around a campfire by myself

We've had contact with three local reporters. Looks like we will have some decent media coverage.

We also will need to have some work lined up for volunteers who show who are not mechanics. A reporter from the Oconee Leader is going to try and get service clubs from two local high schools to come out to help.

Thanks again to everyone!

Check the second post - Shane (AATLAS1X) sent a ton of parts!

Thanks Shane!

Welcome!

Shane - am I correct that we still need rear long jump seat foam and covers?

Yes,

I do not have them or have a pattern for them as of yet. I was going to use these frames, but another set will come along before summer.

Just got conformation, steering wheel will be on it's way. It is also from a BJ42 so I think it's a late model wheel 8/80 and up but missing the center logo

I sent him the link to read, he says that he will donate rear tail lights (not sure if just the lens or units) and sun visors to the build, so you can mark those off.

Hello All,
Thanks to everyone who is taking part in this project. I honestly am speechless in regards to the outpouring of support. Jared and I have been working to prepare the FJ. The engine/tranny/transfer case is out. The interior is bare. The inside and underneath has been power washed. I plan on another visual inspection to see what else needs washed once the rain stops.
Let's all pray for good weather MLK weekend.
I look forward to meeting ya'll.

The only thing I have not shipped is heater parts. The FJ takes the early heater and I do not have one. I have the later 74 and UP, but not sure about installation?

Not just to the firewall, but the duct and blower as well.

Thoughts?

Meaning the whole heater I have in not even close for this model. I have not found out anyplace that the later model will even bolt up.

I have two tubes of Kent Moore seam sealer if needed. (under windshield at cowl and firewall)

I have a few spare heater core radiators 78-71-74, also a complete heater from a 78, not sure on the ducting I will dig for them tomorow

Last day to preorder your t-shirts for this build. There might be a few at the build, but we can't guarantee to have your size. Go to Upstate Cruisers Store and order yours now.
