Mine were rusted out bad. I bought these and put them on... I think they are for a Celica, work great.

Apparently the old single tag light holds up better than the two small ones. Mine is damn near perfect. The rest of the truck practically rotted out from under it!

Huh 🤔 Yet another little detail that I can’t remember noticing before. When did they transition to the dual lights?
'73 I think. On the old style the lenses are facing up, so you'd think they'd get a lot more water intrusion coming around those lenses. More water intrusion should mean more rust and corrosion, right? Doesn't seem to be the case though...at least not with mine. In all honesty, my tag light could have been changed out at some point, so my argument may not hold true, but mine is definitely not new. Just looks new.

I like your hitch setup. Did you make that? Mine has a reese that I don't love because it hangs too low.

Sorry, back to plate lights
I did make the hitch.

I did make the hitch.
Nice work! Remember that when you see one on the back of my piggie that "imitation is the best form of flattery"!

No problem! It was not that hard to do with a plasma cutter. I got a cheapo hitch tube on Amazon, cut and drilled a couple of .25" plates, welded the exterior plate to the tube to set the distance I wanted the tube to stick out from the bumper, cut out a matching hole in the bumper and rear cross member, sunk it in and bolted it up. My cheapy hitch tube had no provisions for hanging the safety chains. After the tube was installed, I welded a old leaf spring shackle plate under the tube as a chain keeper. Super cheap and fun little project. This hitch is not braced up well enough to pull anything heavy or for a recovery point but it will do fine for pulling my little tent trailer or for a bike rack.
