Gifted an 80

Pulled the entire interior out today. Pressure washed the carpet. It was still filthy, even after 9hrs of carpet cleaning. I used sound deadening material on the whole floor. Long ass day! Tomorrow it should be back together.

What are these connections for? Stereo?

Need to weld the seat mount both drivers, and passenger.

I have to get it while the getting is good. I was given an open checkbook, and a reasonable amount of time.

Installed new padding. The existing padding was pretty nasty and I want To eliminate any pet odors. I also ran stereo cable, and installed a subwoofer in the rear. I have a Bluetooth deck, and amp coming this week.

Couple mechanical items to address, then I’ll register it.

High idle - idle seems like it gets stuck at 1200, then I tap the gas and it will drop to like 900.

Numerous cranks to start after being cold. I think it’s something going on with the fueling.

Well my reasonable amount of time has elapsed. My wife is now fed up with the amount of time I have/am spent/spending working on the LC. Good thing it’s about wrapped up…. And good thing I installed that new padding, I may be sleeping on it soon. Although, I would be thrilled to sleep in the LC. Hahahaha

Does she like family camping trips? Sounds like you need to do something fun for the whole family in the truck ASAP to justify the time spent and help smooth over any bitterness or resentment towards the vehicle. Great work getting it baselined and cleaned up in a hurry, your cousin's old cruiser will serve you well.

Good suggestion. The thing I love about cruisers is the time spent doing the activities they facilitate
