Hell yeah man. I’m driving it daily for school pick up. Looking forward to some real adventure. You put in a lot of work on this time to enjoy.
Installed new padding. The existing padding was pretty nasty and I want To eliminate any pet odors. I also ran stereo cable, and installed a subwoofer in the rear. I have a Bluetooth deck, and amp coming this week.
Couple mechanical items to address, then I’ll register it.
High idle - idle seems like it gets stuck at 1200, then I tap the gas and it will drop to like 900.
Numerous cranks to start after being cold. I think it’s something going on with the fueling.

I believe it’s 3/8”. Nothing specific, just the smallest roll HD had for sale. The only issues was me thinking I knew better than Toyota on foam placement. I put the insulation where the factory did not, some of the areas it was to thick for the push tabs. Where the passenger foot steps go, and where the cargo section meets the carpet section. Other than that foam everything. Is this a specific type of foam you're using over the killmat? Also, did you have any issues with thickness when reapplying the carpet?

Yeah that’s steep. I haven’t bought any extended clips, I just know that Wits End makes and sells them.Did I tell you how awesome you are? Because you are!
Edit - $20 bucks per is f***ing insane. I’ll just hot glue those steps down.
When I first saw it, I figured $20 for a bag of the clips. Who is buying them at 20per? I believe we need 10 total in the LC. That’s not just steep. I’m not sure Witts End really wants my business.Yeah that’s steep. I haven’t bought any extended clips, I just know that Wits End makes and sells them.

Whelp, what’s the backstory. I’m new.I'm not sure you really want him to have your money.
Buyer beware
Thanks man! I’m working on finishing up. I’m so looking forward to getting out there. I think I’ve done Clinton’s legacy FJ80 justice.I won’t touch it.
I want to. But I won’t.
On a side note, you’re crushing it man. Time to find adventure now.

That’s nuts. I didn’t feel like scrolling, but I think I got the idea. That’s a real dirt bag move. Glad I didn’t order the F/R sway bushing kit from them.If you really want to know

Lots of people down 4 figures on orders they'll never see
If it isn't one thing its always another with these 80 series rigs.Bone head move, I kept ordering and receiving what I thought was the wrong coolant temp sensor that fits at the thermostat housing. Well, I was looking at the wrong sensor. The coolant is buried below the sensor I was looking at. To top it off, I cracked my fan shroud and cracked the connector on the “start injector time switch” all while pulling the wrong sensor…
Edit- reading more about the start injector time switch, and what it’s function is, I think that may solve my cold starting issues I’ve been having. I think the sensor may have been already cracked, and I finished the job, as I’ve been having cold start issues before touching the sensor. $260 from dealer, $90 partsSouq.
I’m actually glad this happened. The cold non starting was an issue I was trying to figure out.If it isn't one thing its always another with these 80 series rigs.

Next is the idle getting stuck around 1400rpm, then tap the gas pedal then it will drop to around 700-800 rpm. Old idle controller?
