Yes and no. I set the pinion angle on the truck, tacked on the perches, took axle out and welded perches in. Then did the cut, now axle is installed on truck and I am taking it apart to do the turn.

Makes sense. I need to do this too but I’m reluctant to fully dive in due to time and space constraints.

Welded in, think I'm going to grind a small grove and weld over it one more time. Thoughts?

That was the plan, but the weld was flowing so nice I filled the groove almost all the way. I think I'm going to grind it down a little and give it one more pass

Do another pass and then weld in the knuckle gussets from front range 4x4. Or use the trail gear shock mount gussets.

Gave it a couple more passes and welded shock mount on. Will weld the bottom once gussets arrive

Those look pretty good. I wouldn't worry too much, but a gusset would be good.

Could you help with a measurement on your leaf spring sliders? See picture for details. I'm hoping to see if I would have enough clearance between my frame and my tie rod with this modification since it will lower the ride height.
