One step forward, two steps back. Good news is it fired up on the first try and ran great after all the bottom end work I did (was worried the IP timing might be off). The bad news was the turbo return line adapters I bought didn't hold under pressure. Nothing like a 3/8" oil line at 60PSI completely separating ... 10w-40 geyser in the garage! Of course it was pointed at the fan, which created a nice even mist over the inside of the hood and everything underneath. Spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning, think I'll be cleaning for a while
Ordered -6AN adapters and braided line last night, hopefully that will solve the issue.

Been a little while since I've posted here, my oil line fiasco had further reaching consequences than I realized. Long story short, oil starvation scored a couple of cylinders and FUBAR'd the engineSourced and replaced with OM617a number two out of an '84 300TD, costly mistake
Got her up and running again, working on a punch list for the LSLC Roundup next month. You live and you learn right?
