Fixed, I made it too low at first and had to add a removable piece. If I ever built another it would be adjustable with two long bottle jacks, not needed though.

Would be nice to post some pics of some solid progress, but this here is gonna put a damper on things for the next week or so:crybaby:

Those look like ideal working temperatures, unless you’re a wicked witch a little rain never hurt anyone.

We’re expecting you to post some pics of some solid progress.

A good time to paint that room your wife was wanting done. :D

Pretty sure it's your fault he's in this deep, room painting isn't going to get us pictures of a finished pig anytime soon. Come on Ron stay focused.

Thanks for keeping me accountable J, love it! I will do what I can while 4 inches of rain falls.

It’s not ALL Ron’s fault, there’s a handful in here that can all share in that:rofl:

Hey none of this “enabler” bs....it’s on you :flipoff2:

Solid progress.
Started in on the steering wheel and steering column. I do NOT plan on swapping out for anything else, but a full replacement of components will be required. So, at some point some actual money is gonna have to start being spent to proceed - patience, Grasshopper.
The steering wheel is decent, but will need several cracks repaired. Eastwood sells a steering wheel restoration kit, and SEM supposedly has some good vinyl paint.

Multi-function switch will need replaced.
The tumbler is worn out, allowing my key to continually fall out on bumpy roads (sometimes even smooth roads), and would like to go ahead and replace it.
Allowing the shaft bearings to soak in solvent tonight, we’ll see if they need replacing. Not a bad idea since they’re about 41 years old.

Back to some nice weather in AZ so I pulled the tarp off and did some stuff today.
Removed the front bumper and just stared some more at the front suspension. Because of this “clean slate” direction this is becoming, I’m thinking the Man-A-Fre shackle reversal will need to be removed, and the front suspension re-engineered.

Interesting to see where you head on the suspension... 🍿

I’ve seen a couple fabrication suppliers that have some weld-on spring hangers and such. Probably look into some of that.
Those same fabrication suppliers have three link kits and such, probably should look into some of that.
