I am interested in this for sure! I have been waiting till I have the chance to emmulate that system Scrapdaddy used. Please take pics of the work.
Looks killer so far. Way officiail looking!

Thanks @xtiaan2000 ! I’ll definitely keep posting progress. Once these are done it’ll be a matter of welding them in and then placement of the runners and cross pieces. Planning on integrating roof-rack mounts and an overhead console in the front and along the center. Would be real easy to install headliner panels as well.

Got any links to your roof rack inspiration threads? Ive had an idea for a low profile roof rack and since ill be doing roof repaira soon it makes sense to combine the two..

No need put put yourself through 85 pages of nonsense.
Roof rack starts around page ten and goes for a few pages after that. Then I believe I finished the rack somewhere around page 35 or so.

Thanks for the tip! I was hoping to avoid spending the next week trawking through epic build threads.. and while its a valid use of time id rather be bashing away in the shed ..

Getting back at it today. Close to being ready for the spit. Gonna have to build one of those now:rolleyes:

Okay what my bumper? Haha!
Those were the heads of a couple extraction receivers from some mid-90’s Kenworth tractors. They’re gaudy but totally different from the 3/4” shackle mounts everyone else uses.

Yeah yeah, don’t worry, they won’t be on the new bumper
