Hahaha, yes! I hav my truck mechanically taken care of, now the hard part is the cosmetics...

that's kind of how i went about it mechanical then cosmetics. next will come performance. i still need to recover the bench too but that'll come later. as my kids are gett by bigger i might put a fold and tumble kind of rear facing bench in the back. still playing with that idea. ill get the two benches covered to match the front that way. truck will be for family and dogs and m101 will haul the gear

sliders!! made by cruisin off-road! they are easy to install if you have a good floor jack or two. just bolt on but i think they are very well made

also building a bracket for this bus bar. time to clean up the rats nest coming off my battery. there are two stock holes in my fender that arent being used so they'll work fine to mount this

nice floor mats from trail tailor!! thanks jason. some props in the picture for you!
also got some replacement sway bar extensions. my sway bar seems to be bugging people hanging down. i keep getting told i've got something broken!! well yes i do :). if you look closely into the 5 gallon bucket you'll see my new 4:11s with arb. picked up some por15 as well to coat the axle housings while putting new gears in. maybe this weekend but i'll see. credit again goes to kurt at cruiser outfitters for this

Awesome truck man! It's looking great with the new paint and interior work. Both of these things are on my short list. My battery is looking a lot like yours (was). Need to do that too.

Keep it coming!

thanks. i'm really loving this thing. it's not been cheap but still well worth it. with the dynamat in it i am really very happy with the diesel. it was a little loud to begin with and i wondered if i had made a mistake..... well now no way!! it's awesome. just have to figure this vibration out because that bugs the crap out of me

new gasket at the filet neck and a little extra seal inside the fender with leak seal. also got my bus bar installed. i need to get some heavy gauge wire to hook it up but the little bracket worked out nicely. now i'm just trying to figure out my back up lights.

now i'm trying to figure out my rear passenger door light switch too. it doesn't work and i can't seem to find where the break in power is coming from. ill have to dig a little more into the rats nest in the rear drivers corner where the wire seems to come from. it's in continuity from there across the back to the passenger side fender and up to the switch. the wiring in these trucks is beyond my abilities

after i got fed up with the wiring i started dreaming of how to install my webasto. it didn't get done at the timeout engine swap as i had hoped but it's been sitting on my bench for a year. with winter closing in it would be nice having it installed. i need to make a mounting bracket

i had my mud flaps installed today because the cops keep pulling me over. they are the original ones and are in pretty good shape but i want to repaint the landcruiser on it. what's the best way to do that without getting white paint everywhere. anyone have a good description of how to do this?

Seriously?! You were getting pulled over for NOT having mudflaps? What kind of shenanigans is this?!

Do a search, there was a thread about the stock mudflaps and painting the Land Cruiser on them... Think your best bet is to get a paint pen and do them that way.

thanks. i tried searching and it didn't come up with anything except a bunch of NLA parts posts. yeah i know it's crazy being pulled over. at least i talked my way out of tickets but i'm just sick of being pulled over because i'm driving a unique vehicle that stands out. ill just do what they ask and smile at the stupidity

Yeah, white paint pen is the method most people have used I believe. Looks pretty good too.

done a little more on the interior. got the carpet cut along to doors and all the trim back in and i got the trunk carpet installed

i'm trying to upload pics but for some reason my phone won't do it tonight. ill try on my computer later. back to some wiring issues
