How can you narrow it down to those three months by pic?

What is the build date?

I was smoking crack and got my years screwed up. Not a 3 month span as I posted but a year 4 months. SInce some production of the 9/73 models could have either wings or no wings.

Turn signal were up until 12/74

non wing windows started in 9/73

Markers lights were until 12/74

Emblem was after 9/73

Hood was before 12/74

No coolant in that engine from 1991 to 1996, since it wasn't available (especially in the outback of Venezuela). Coolant from 1996 to 2005 with two regular flushes per year.

The block was tanked when it was bored .020 over and everything else has been sandblasted and painted so it is good to go.

A/C is mostly finished. All I need to do is install the new drier, and expansion valve. before I can install the box under the dash. The condencer is from a BMW of some sort. I have the part # if anyome needs it but I dont know the aplication. I had to get 2 custom lines made from the compresor to the condencer and from the condencer to the drier.

I had to remove a few brackets and modify a few others but all in all it went in very well.

Michael; I might be mistaken BUT it looks by eyeballing it that you might have enough space for a low profile high performance puller fan behind your radiator; remember the highest part of the puller fan is in the middle and it seems like you might be able to squeeze it in between the belt and pulley shaft....worth a try if you have one handy

well I dont have one handy, however there is about 2 1/2" between the radiator and the engine. I found a lowprofile Spal fan that is a 16" fan and is only 2.02" thick so I will get one ordered ASAP.

Geting closer. I got the A/C buttoned up short of installing a new drier and charging the system.

ARB lines run, compressor and solinoids installed and switched installed in dash.

Also got the seatbelts installed. The rears are 2 FJ60 center belts and the fronts are 80 series sholder belts.

I am in awe....

How do you get away with FJ40 front springs? Is this a common practice? Looking at front springs myself, just wondering...

Also, I would BET the owner won't want to sully the package with those wheels and tires, will they be for sale? I take DIBS on them, they're 16 inch, right?

But I have to wonder (as we all are), what is the ballpark expense for such a mod? C'mon, that's an acceptable question, isn't it? I might want the same done to mine, instead of buying a current plastic imitation.

So the front 80 belts are long enough?

Good to know!

Would you do me a favor and take a close up pic of where you mounted the retraction mechanism to the B pillar?

TIA!
