:frown: How'd that happen?
So much work & $$$ went into that resto.
Of all the trails at Tellico, that one's not technical as some tow their rigs in on that trail. Going too fast/ lost brakes or ???
Going to look for a new roof/ doors or ......... topless :pig:? :bounce:

it sux.........waste always does make me feel queezy; a lot of time, effort and money went into that rig along with it being a labor of love; we all put that into our rigs; thankfully it appears no one was injured........ Lou

Yes it SUCKS very bad. I only had about 1000 hours in that truck. That being said it iwill be back next year better than this. It is back at the shop so we can start to strip the tub and get it pulled off.

If anyone has a good tub we are in the market.

Just an excuse to repaint it the correct factory colors.

I'm speechless, that is terrible...hope everyone is ok.

You have a PM.

Michael, there were two fairly decent tubs at Urban Land Cruisers recently;

Thanks but I try to avoid dealings w/ ULC at all costs.

I found a good tub this morning so The rebuild begins.

Kind of an odd question... Would a cage, if done right, possibly saved the thing from such severe damage? I am thinking of doing one but am not sure it is worth it.

Sure hope everyone is fine. It's only metal and money.

Look forward to seeing the build pics.

Yes It would have. We are planing on puting a internal cage back in it once we get the new top on it. It will be smallish diameter (1", 1-1/4"), thick wall DOM that we will tuck up and out of the way as possable.

ooof!

That sucks!

any plans to put a roll cage in it during the re-restoration?

Can you say exo-cage. I will be doing an exo-cage on ours in hopes that it won't end up like this one. Its just too much work and $$$ to restore it twice, and an interior cage while safe won't help the truck from getting hammered and takes up too much room IMO. Glad every ones OK. Mike

FJ55 windshields amaze me how they just pop out so easy without breaking. I've flopped mine twice with it just popping out.

Bummer, but at least ya didn't get smashed. Cheers to another amazing build!

Ben didn't get that lucky.

What amazes me is that he is smiling after doing that to his 55 (on level road)

I think I would be throwing up...
