Got 50 harnesses in the mail but they don't meet the quality bar needed (wires come out of the connector with just a light tug). Vehicles and industrial equipment are tough environments for electronics & wiring harnesses with all the shock and vibration. I can't in good faith sell these as kits knowing that with time and off-road use they will fall apart and require you to open up your doors to fix the loose wires. Vendor has graciously agreed to redo these + ensure the whole set go through quality control now (the pull test works!) so that this isn't a problem.
I do not know how long that will take, but hopeful to have the full set of 300 harnesses within the month

Update here - I received a very disappointing note from the vendor I was working with here on mud. For transparency, I engaged with him in late summer & paid for the harnesses to be made (300 of them) in late August. He sent a batch of 50 a few weeks ago which were not QC'd and then agreed to redo the whole batch with proper quality. I received a note this Sunday that after 4.5 months, he wants to refund me and not continue the project.
I don't have the time to do the harnesses myself, otherwise I would. So I will be looking for an alternative vendor. I'm pretty disappointed, but wanted you all to have heads up that the wait will go on...I'm sorry.
Boards are ready to ship; this is the last thing. Will continue to post updates as they come.

So what's the deal? Why not change the gauge of wire to better suit the terminal?
He isn't the one making them.
I get that, but I assume he must have specified a wire gauge and a type of terminal? It doesn't really make sense for a vendor themselves to use a wire gauge and terminal type they know won't work well together.
