Looks like they have the socket and the plug available. Would certainly make this kit a lot easier!
For sure! I always love the “leave no trace approach” when possible. I’m definitely a customer for this when it’s ready and will be shooting for plug and play.

Hey guys - filmed an install video and just need to edit it together.
For this first batch, it'll require cutting & crimping. The intent is you install once, and leave forever, but agree that "leave no trace" is great when you can!

I don't have free time right now sadly to make a true plug & play kit, but I'm totally open to a future version of this being plug & play. I like that since it would require effectively no tools as well.

To make your kit plug & play is it simply a matter of ordering an available wiring harness and terminating your wiring into it vs cutting and splicing?

Either way is fine by me. Ready to pay since like 2 months ago..lol Excited to see end results

Actually yeah now that you mention it - at first glance I thought I would need to get more harnesses made & throw out the ones I just got...but that's not true. To make it plug and play it's completely additive. You need:

- a car-side connector
- a switch-side connector
- The car-side connector gets wired to the switch-side connector with the board wiring harness spliced / butt connector'd in-between

I'm open to offering this as an option!! So here's what I'll do in the interim:
  1. This week I'll get the install video up & the ordering link up
  2. In parallel if the experts on here can link me (PM is fine) the exact car-side and switch side connectors Toyota used (non OEM is fine as long as compatible) I will reach out to my harness vendor to see if they can make the "plug & play" harness. IIRC the rear doors + passenger front are all 100% the same. Reminder that driver's door does not need this fix bc of the existing relay. @red66toy !
  3. If it turns out play & play (#2) is a go - I'll get some of those made
  4. If you watch the install video with the splicing / crimping and say "f this no way", you can wait for #3.
  5. If plug & play (#2) is not a go, then you're stuck with the splicing & crimping method

And thanks all for suggesting a way to do this better - should've looked into the connectors from the start to see if they were still available! Great thinking if we can pull it off! :)

The link I posted on the last page will take you to the OEM connector for the door switches (not the drivers). The link also has its mate linked within it and the needed terminals. It’s all there.

Ok I see, looks like the 5 terminal connectors on the door switches. Those connectors should be available stateside .

Looks like this is the connector:
You should be able to make a clean splice using these: KET: MG610189<br /> Yazaki: 7119-3050 - Yazaki | PA-5S - Corsa Technic | 5-Way Kit - https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.php?item_id=2410
@jonnyd42 - Based on that Yazaki part number, it seems you can buy these on eBay reasonably cheaply ($25/obo for a 20 lot) and with quick shipping if you wanted to give some a try:

Have you looked for these connectors in the wiring harness repair manual?

Hi all - I got the install video up. It doesn't take 40 mins - video is long since I added a full tutorial on how to do proper crimping with a ton of explanation, and a few min explanation of the principle of how this works. The video description has:
  1. Parts list you'll need in addition to the kit
  2. Chapters / title skipping
  3. Wire mapping from car to board harness
Next I'll post the shopify link. Sorry - this is a side project hence the slowness!

Great Video! I did replace the window channel rubber and it does seem to run even a smoother. I sourced the rubber from @Racer65. Hopefully in the next week I will replace all the other windows as well. Enjoyed the process with you.

Two follow-ups:
1) Working on seeing if I can get a plug & play harness made. Still no word from the vendor.
2) If anyone is willing to drive to the bay area, CA - I can probably do this install in < 25 mins for all 3 windows. If you wanna pay someone to do that, happy to help.

2 questions:
1. Did you post the Shopify link and I missed it?
2. You say you can help install “all 3 windows”. What, if anything, do you do for the driver’s master switch?

Thanks in advance and great, informative video.

#1 no, I went to get it set up yesterday and am locked out by Shopify lol, so need to resolve that -_-
#2 driver's side doesn't need this since the switching mechanism is different than the other windows, so a full set is 3 boards + 3 harnesses
