In a galaxy far away (like 15 years ago)....I had a J*&p wagoneer ('69, buick 350, th400). I bought a used a set of lifted springs from someone cross country. He did the research and settled on Forward Air Inc. Worked well for us.

Ben-

That Fastenall price sounds pretty good. Another option is Roadrunner Freight. They have a good lane from NW to Atlanta-I ordered a set of Sliders from MT and they were here in 3 days and the price was about $145. This was Terminal Pick up.

That YRC quote sounds a little high. Was that an online quote for "Pick up at Terminal" ?
Yeah, that was for terminal pick up.

Well its official!
Gave my boss a 5 week notice today. 1st of November I will be building bumpers full time. That should bring the future lead times down to 2-4 weeks once I get caught up on the current orders.
I will now have the time to hopefully finish up other projects such as the roof racks and work on new products. I have so many ideas and now will finally have the time to make them happen.
I could not have made this happen with out the awesome staff and members of this forum!
I can't believe how many messages I have received from members here that have offered to help with the business side of things for no charge! Even the name dissent came from @Manhattan who does branding for a living, I have been on many other forums and this stuff just doesn't happen anywhere but here.
Thanks for all the help and support! I am excited to see where this goes over the next few years.

Ben.

Congrats! Now I gotta dig in the couch for some hidden coins!

Congratulations Ben! I so excited for and your family for making this new endeavor. I'm confident that you will excel in this market and make a difference.

Congrats Ben. Keep up with your passion and keep aiming for the best. Never limit yourself. DISSENT!!!!

Nice man!! Love to see this. Good luck, I'm sure you have a lot of great ideas. Can't wait to see them. Don't forget about the little guys. Haha.

Congratulations Ben!

Congratulations Ben on taking the hardest first step of being a business owner!
Let this journey be a joy to you and your family !!

Congrats Ben! Working for yourself is the hardest thing to decide to start but definitely the most rewarding. Congrats!

Thanks guys!
It was definitely hard leaving a good job but I do enjoy this much more! Typically we have a slow season every year where I'm out of work for a month or 2 so the plan was to make the leap then, I kept telling myself soon as it slows down I'm going for it,
but the last 2 years work has not slowed at all and at this point it was one or the other.
I also really enjoy the custom builds and I have not had the time to take on any of those, looking forward to the custom stuff!

That's amazing! Really happy for you. Congrats on your new adventure.

Maybe this will give you time to build a winch plate. ;)

Just wanted to congratulate Benc on doing something not many get to do for many reasons whether it's fear or responsibilities etc. That is ...doing what you love to do and be great at it, enough to make a great living. My grandpa always told me, " Do what you love to do and it will never feel like work" .

There is no question you love this work, it shows. You have a talent and love for the work.

I admire you for making such move. Congrats to you!

Sorry for the lack of updates!
Right in the middle of busy season at work and finalizing some business stuff.
Unfortunately I will only be able to get a few bumpers done this month but come November I should be able to get most of the orders done. October 31st is my last day at work! I have been trying to get as many installs under my belt before I start shipping so I can work out any bugs with installation and get a good detailed write up with plenty of pics on the installation. Got This one mounted up a couple weeks ago.
