That is the beefiest looking aftermarket bumper receiver system I believe I've ever seen!

I can't wait to get mine. Thanks for understanding my delay in ordering Ben

Can't wait!!
Benc, those pics give a good close up of the hinge flaps. Did you say you had some type of cover you would make for the no swing out side? I'm not getting the swing outs right away so would be nice to cover/protect the hinge from bending out of shape.

Sorry, no covers, but the plates are 3/16 so there shouldn't be an issue. If its a concern one thing you could do is order some blank hinges and bolt those in place but that would add about $120.

How much to install it?

Have you started building out the first group? And did I make it into the first group after other peeps backed out? Getting a lot antsier seeing all the pics...

I have and you did :) waiting on a few items such as the hinges and struts to come and trying to figure out the best shipping method.

HOLY SWEETNESS BATMAN!!! THANKS!!!

Ballpark ship date?

Ouch:(

Guess I was expecting it a bit sooner but when you have a full time job and you're cranking these out on the side that seems reasonable.

Oh well, Merry Christmas to me!

Sigh, man wonder what that means for me I'm not in in the first 20. Next year?

I'm doing my best to get these done, I still have front orders as well and working on finalizing things on the business side.
there have been several of the orders that would like a front at the same time which is great but it sets me back a little further.
Again, thanks for all your patients and I guarantee when you finally get the bumper mounted you will be happy you waited. I'm hopping to be doing this full time by the end of October, at that point I will be able to pump out 5-10 per week. As of now I'm lucky to get 2 done a week.

Checked in with the local fastenal today about shipping (thanks for the referral Tom!) looks like I will be able to ship much cheeper through them bu the Cust will have to pick up from there nearest fastenal. I will be able to ship front and rears together for around $350 and looks like single bumpers would be around $175.
Ups will end up being about $550 to ship a front and rear.
So if you guys want to get a head start and check and see where you nearest fastenal is I think that's the route I will try and go.
I can also set it up were the customer pays for shipping when they pick up. I am currently paying a guy to build and the pallets and package them up so there is a $75 fee per bumper for that but that is allready figured into the prices above.
Those were quotes from California to Georgia.

If you don't have a fastenall near you another low cost alternate is YRC (yellow fright). Select a door to terminal pick up. If you're in the right freight lane the rates are really good when you select terminal pick up.

Ben- provide the dim's on the pallet including the weight of the components including the pallet (L x W x H) and buyers can compare rates and organize the shipping themselves as consignees or you can do it for them if you want to have control the timing. Just be mindful to work out pickup appointment ahead of time so there aren't any added charges for missed pickups.

Ben,

Look at a smaller regional broker/carrier in your area and then have them farm it to YRC, Estes, R&L, Old Dominion, etc.. They have much better rates and will work with you. A majority of my freight gets transferred to YRC. I have an account with YRC as well and my regional broker beats their rate by 20-30% regularly.

Just have to say (off topic), I am again, totally impressed by the IH8MUD forum members...

Unless I am wrong...a competing vendor is helping out another vendor on this forum with shipping options.

Good people all around here...

Thanks guys, I just checked with yrc and they were almost double from what fastenal quoted me.
To ship a front bumper on its own pallet and rear bumper on another pallet to Georgia was $200 from fastenal, yrc was $391
I will check with others as well but not sure I will be able to beat that.

Ben, has everyone from your list paid? I'd like to be added if you still need people throwing money your way.

No, there are several spots that have opened up. Pm coming your way.

Ben-

That Fastenall price sounds pretty good. Another option is Roadrunner Freight. They have a good lane from NW to Atlanta-I ordered a set of Sliders from MT and they were here in 3 days and the price was about $145. This was Terminal Pick up.

That YRC quote sounds a little high. Was that an online quote for "Pick up at Terminal" ?
