Looking through old pics today and I stubbled across my last welding truck. This pic was taken IIRC in 2009 in Minot, ND working on gas hot ties for Enbridge. Donnie Joe the "fire watch" was more interested in his phone than a fire... typical.

Also, @kelly saad arrived late last night and got started on the body work mid-morning.

We have about a week to knock out DINGO and Poppy... YEP... 2 at once...

@kelly saad will be cross referencing his paint thread with the paint and body on DINGO and Poppy as well.

My first dream car and always will be is an original 64/65 Shelby Daytona Coupe.

Well....yeah.

Which one of the six ever built would you like? ;)

As long as we are wishing.....why not go for the Type 65 Daytona Super Coupe (427).

Well true....I guess that would be the car if I ever win a massive lottery.

I remember reading a book on the history of the Cobra back in the 80's. At the end of that book, there was a 1 or 2 page note on the Super Coupe. The car was unbelievable, but sadly only 1 was ever made.
I still prefer the original Daytona. Only problem is the first ones had cabin heat issues basically cooking the driver. Solved by cutting a hole in the roof during a race to get fresh air into the cabin.
Really unbelievable and and a completely custom hand made vehicle.

Much like Dingo. The work Jason has put into this is simply amazing. Yes he is a world class fabricator we all know that, but builds like this come down to vision, details (no matter how small) and execution. I know several great fabricators that cannot think this far out of the box.

Like the great Phil Remington quickly fabbing up a Kamm back on one of the coupes to solve aero issues on a hunch

I woke up and argued with myself for hours about the final finish on Dingo. I want that industrial look and with any open forum... let others sway me a bit.... A little after 2am this morning Andrea asked what was eating at me... I told her and she said "WHEN HAVE YOU EVER DONE ANYTHING THE MAJORITY LIKED"....... I replied you're right ..... LINER IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!! ZZZZZZZ ZZZ ZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZZ...

I'll shoot all the jambs, firewall and misc internal parts in black and stick with MY ORIGINAL PLAN.

Your build that is it.

After having to remove that stuff, it is not my thing and I prefer the look of poppy. But that is me.
You probably would not like what I have done with my 60 and that is why it is mine. I did not go the standard or expected with anything
Mean green alt, mix mashed suspension, etc.

This is your build, do it the way you want. If you are not sure then question it. But you were sure so just do it. I would imagine you posting this in other forums and people question the T-Max battery kit and why not the the more expensive option. Because it works and you have no problem with it.

Had nothing to do with being sure... Just trying to please people.... I'm getting old and need to remind myself this s*** is for me, not them.....

So Dingo's new motto!
