I've been referring everyone to @NCFJ and @orangefj45

Like I told one guy on IG that asked about SEMA. Not sure I want to go to SEMA or want the exposure. I like being a small 2 person operation.

Got the CDL (center diff lock) switch and wiring harness pulled from the 80 carcass. So if all works right Dingo will be 3X locked.

Stripped all the brake and fuel lines off the frame.

Decided to stretch the frame 24". This will roll the rig out even smoother on the highway and also give me extra room to extend the canopy boxes and rear pullout drawer.

You should be able to use a 62 H4 switch if you want to keep 60 dash. I believe it’s the same switch as 70 series and that’s what I am going to use to control CDL.

Jason, where are you splicing in the frame extension?
The straight portion at the LCA mount? From what I remember that seems to be the easiest spot to avoid the curved center section. Only 'issue' is cutting and re-welding the mounts.

If you have a couple extra frame sleeves I know a guy that could use them :D

Right at 4" forward of the center of front eye/bolt hole of the RLCA mount. This will allow me to keep 75% of the mount whole and attached to the rear half. Then I'll scarf cut off the tip of that mount from the front section and weld it back in place after the extension. The inner sleeve will go into the rear frame approx 9" straight and the front section will be a 4" straight with about 5" of Inner bend. Inner bend will be installed by cutting the inside frame wall and bending it down, weld sleeve, then bend back up and exterior weld and rosette weld multiple predrilled and new holes.

Hope this makes sense.

Hope you are doing good brother. Let me know when your ready for another package over there.

Frame was picked up this afternoon and should be back on Tues/Wed. $200.00 to pickup, deliver, and blast. These guys must do this for fun. That frame in Wyoming would be 5-750.00 to just blast.

Motor mounts are ready to go.

Need to get the TC rebuilt, tailshaft cut and assembled so I can make a custom Creeper Skidpllate for the crossmember for the HF2A and 4L65e transmission.

Rear axle hub/rebuild kit ordered from Georg at Valley Hybrids today.

Lots to do.

I'll be deleting the inner rear fender wells and thought of the exterior fender well "storage box". It was a decision to keep a stock bench seat or run a custom console to the rear with matching rear bucket seats.

I think I will keep a solid back panel instead of cutting a rear window out. Even though the canopy boxes will be removable, I doubt I'll ever take the one closest to the cab off.

Decided to go with new radius arms for the build. I was going to run 5 degree plates, but still going to deal with grinding and potential flex issues. So I gave Dave a shout at @Delta VS and ordered a pair of his arms.

I was going to buy a set from Superior in Australia, but always try to buy from MUD vendors first. Hope to see these next week sometime. Plus the arms work with Toyota bushings and hardware.

Thanks Dave,

Jason

Those are on my build list as well.

OH s***! yes!

@Delta VS arms are ordered and on the way.

Got the frame back from the blaster and started tearing down the axles. Ordered and received the rear hub rebuild from @orangefj45 AKA Cruiser Brothers. I'll pull the diffs and get them off to my rebuilder for the re-gear and ARB lockers.

Easy part is done..

Both axles are broke down and will start cleaning this weekend. Front was a complete nasty mess. I've only done 24-25 front knuckle jobs over the years.... BUT DAMN! Rear was a breeze and clean oil.

Moved the 92 "car"cass HA! over to the machine shop for future part out.

Getting things moved around so I can pull Dingo to the lift and drop the frame and start the chop, chop, chop.
