Got the recessed recovery pockets finished today. CNC mills and lathes sure are nice to have. A little clean up and to the tumbler they will go.

I'd be tempted to leave it slightly different than the OE vents if it means they are less likely to deform or get chipped (although I haven't heard of a lot of issues with this).

Well being aluminum, I hope they don't deform OR chip... HA!

Oh yeah! I forgot you were just testing with plastic

Made room over at the machine shop today to store the 80 body, motor and 60 frame. I';; break the TC off the trans and get started on the TC rebuild. So if time allows this week the swap will begin. Need to get the 80 frame stripped, cut and modded and sent to blast and powder.

Jason, that new bumper design is super sharp. What is the idea behind the recessed recovery points?....and how do you strap to it?

Idea is a few things.

1) extra 2-3" of approach angle
2) no clanging and heavy shackle to hear or carry around (not to mention damage powder or paint)
3) soft shackle is way safer if things go wrong.

Soft shackle slips right in and wraps the internal bar.

Send it back the radio is broke....... :)

Well Andrea woke up coughing and running a fever so I hauled ass to the shop... We've been passing a cold back and forth for over a month. So I got to tear into Dingo..

80 is apart. I even pulled the motor and split the TC and got it on the bench to rebuild. Motor and trans are in good running condition and may sell it 1992 3FE. I'll start chopping up the body in a few days.

Christmas Eve gift to me.
