Take care Dave... don’t rush it... work and play will still be there when you’ve recovered.

Assuming you’ve got some recovery time on your hands, you can drop in and visit a little more often. It’s good having you in the mix, like @Weber Sarge and mikethegeezer.

Thanks everyone! The good news is I finally found a way to get out working :bounce:

They had to take everything out of the inside of my eye and replace it with a different fluid. I had many inner ocular floaders that were present after my Cataract surgery that made it hard to see and was giving me headaches. This should be tha last one for a while.
Work has been a little overwelming this last 6 months or so. This summer will be equally difficult. I will try to use this time off to make some progress on the rig. I have a few suprises to show you all on that front. Still waiting on paint but I am in the que.

Dave, at least you know that you will get it done eventually, since you’re going to live forever!

I got this from Pete Condos (ConFerr) MANY years ago.

Been there done that with multiple eye surgeries AFTER supposedly simple cataract surgery! I had two detached retinas after my cataract surgery. Not being able to see clearly from one eye or the other for months was hard!

Listen to the doc about taking it easy! I didn't and he said I caused the second detached retina by trying to work too soon after surgery...

Yes Mark, it is very hard. I'm taking it easy. On top of everything, he left a gas bubble in my eye that should go away in the next couple days. I can't wait. It's very irritating because it's in my line of sight. The bubble is like looking at a hand level up close.

My wife is currently dealing with an epiretinal membrane in one eye that has the basic effect of looking through a jar of Vaseline. So my awareness of eye issues is going up daily.

You are lucky. The first time they repaired my retina, they injected the eye with the nitrogen gas and it required me to lay on my side for two days while the bubble pressed the retina back into place!

Love that pic... you don’t happen to know who the original cartoonist was? Was it Pete?

I need to make a copy of that !!!

@DSB345 the body looks great!!! It may be taking awhile but since you got a lifetime it will be worth the wait :)

I look at all those holes and I can see it all come together ... each nice clean piece going back

It’s going to be fantastic !!

I only have a couple very minor places that will need metal work. Good ole' California weather. I will begin on dressing out the frame shortly. I've been gathering all the things I need to make that happen. I can't find the sheet metal screws for the hard brake line clips that bolt onto the frame  I know they are somewhere but I can't find them. I may have to go NOS for now or tap them out. I'm running out of time to get this together. I need to get to work.
