The way I figure it, I should be done with the office renovation and the warehouse demo about the same time Dave gets his tub and sheet parts back from the body shop. I'll be primed to jumpstart my short bed resto again, the momentum of which will help Dave along too.

I finally installed the clutch, pressure plate. Put the hub and the throw out bearing together and installed onto the fork.

I put a very thin layer of grease on the throw out bearing, Fork to hub and pressure plate fins

Yesterday after work, I put a thin layer of grease with a Q-tip on the spline and shaft of the transmission. Then I finally installed the transmission. It went together like butter.

Wow very clean. If u spray a clear coat over those machined surfaces it will not allow them to rust but still look professional.

@DSB345 Dave thanks for the pics on my thread, your '78 is going to be cleaner than the day it left Japan!!! Excellent. I am going to try mine without resistor and see how she runs, easy to put back in if needed. '78 schematic shows resistor but, not what type or "ballast resistor" labeled in schematic.
