I've been working on making the hard fuel lines. I think they came out pretty good. I still have a little tweaking to do yet.

Installed the down pipe.
The acorn nuts on the valve cover, were those original and you had them plated or did you find them somewhere?
Did you sand/grind on your frame before powder coating? If not it was in unbelievable condition.
Glad to see you posting again. Dave, that is looking beautiful!!!! Looking forward to seeing more.

It was sand blasted and just powder coated. It was one of the reasons I chose this fj40 for a restoration.

Just got this fine front splash guard back. Powder coated and ready to go. Finding one in this condition is lucky to say the least.

Before I get to far along, I want to thank @Rainman for making some excellent brake lines.

I had purchased a set of Classic Tube Stainless steel brake lines first but I really wanted a set of @Rainman brake lines because I read and heard of the quality product he puts out. When I first started, I went and bought a bunch of stuff I didn't need yet. By the way, don't do that. One of the products I wanted for my project was Rainman Brake lines but when It was time to purchase a set he had to close down shop for personal reasons and wasn't sure if he would open for business again. I was very disappointed. I had no choice but to buy the CT set.
A year and a half later I see he's back in business so I bought a set and decided to do a comparison. I quickly, realized Rainman Brake Lines were better made, easier to work with and fit perfectly. Some of the CT lines didn't fit perfectly and needed adjustment. I thought they were going to break bending them and I don't think they will replace them if you do.
First, they don't come with a adjustment tool and are extremely difficult to bend. His were easy to bend Just the way you like them. Next, when you install the CT lines they are designed after the original lines. When it comes to things like the inspection plate on the rear axle, his are up and over the top of the axle where the CT lines are covering the inspection plate making it difficult to remove. You are more likely to have to remove or bend up the brake line to inspect the axle which will cause you to bleed the brake lines again. Last, one of the best qualities of these brake lines is the fact they don't corrode like others do. You can read up on that on his website. You know I don't want mine to corrode.
I highly recommend Rainman's brake lines. Now, I need to find a buyer for the CT lines.
