IN AUSTRALIA......
The mirrors were different in the pre-mid 1985, to the post '85 60 series and early 62, but the square headlight 62 had a different mirror again.
That looks like the late 60 series mirrors, so my guess is that it is a year or two before the square headlights came in.
That matches with the post 84 headlight washers.
Was the early 62 in the US with round headlights or only square? If only with square headlights, then it is "Pre-62 series" and post 84.
A quick check says the US 62 was 1988 and square headlights only (but some of the info on that page was wrong!).
If that is right, it is a post 1984 and pre 1988. If the mirrors were the same as in Aus, it makes it a late 1985 at the earliest.
So most likely a 1986 or 1987, with a possibility of '85 or '88.

But there is so much assumption in that that it could be totally wrong!

By the end of the year my FJ62 was built. My MFD date is Dec 1987 So they switched somewhere during that year.

Another easy way to tell is the cloth seat pattern changed as well as the headliner material in '87. A vinyl hooped headliner was used up till 86, felt-type material from '87 on. Wider pattern safari-style seat material in grey/blue and tan/brown used in '86 and older.

The GMC purists would wince. That's a Jimmy. 1970 was the first year. The K5 Blazer came out in 1969. This one looks like a '70 to me.

This one looks pretty nasty. On the other hand I've seen worse Land Cruisers saved. It's a LOT easier to find parts for the GM trucks. Except maybe some of the GMC-specific trim.

I like a 64 too, 63 or 64 are the best Galaxie body types by far.

390 thunderbird. It's bored .030 over, edelbrock rpm performer intake, sanderson shorty headers, hypereutectic pistons. Holley 650 double pumper. Nice rumble...but a mild cam. Here's a pic:

My "vehicles I would love to have" bucket-list includes a 1972 K5 Cheyenne Super in red/white with a black bucket seat/console interior. 4 speed, tilt wheel, factory tach and A/C.
That truck would be epic.

Sort of like this one. It's not a Cheyenne Super but close.
