Well, me too. I enjoy driving it.

While the build with that hydro dipped valve cover and distributor cap isn't in your shop, it *does* have the @Cruisers and Co turbo on it (minor mods to the j-pipe were required to make it clear the FJ45LV firewall.)

So far I have 4 1fz-fe engines with a C&C turbo in non-traditional builds: 1 fj55 body on a fzj80 frame, 1 fj45lv, 1 fj40 on coils, and a second fj55 (this time on a fj55 frame, and it might remain non-turbo, idk.)

Just teasing you on that one, I really can’t wait to see the beautiful work being done to it!
 
I asked, they delivered. I had only seen a picture or two of a 3 pod they were testing. Might be the first test run of the 2 pod that’s gone out. I think it came out awesome, here are some test pics he sent me to make sure everything was fitting together.

You are the first of the 2, @SHELLBACK has the first of the 3. Can’t wait to see how it looks on the grey interior
 
I've finally got mine moving after the install. I did a lot of other work while the truck was down, all new cooling hoses, radiator, heater control valve, steering hoses, trans shift kit, trans cooler lines, knock sensors, fuel pressure regulator, oil pump o-ring, dist. o-ring, valve cover and spark plug gaskets, vacuum hoses, SS brake hoses, pads, updating some wiring for aux lights, and temp, boost, afr gauges for the turbo. Too many things at once! Anyways, after fluid fills and checks, a few heat cycles in the driveway to burp the cooling system and check for leaks, I took it out for a few miles around the neighborhood. First trip I could only get 4 psi of boost. So I put a few turns on the waste gate control rod, now I'm up to 5-6 psi. Before I attempt to go any higher, what short of numbers should I be seeing on the AFR gauge? Mine seems to vary wildly, even with small throttle changes and little to no boost. Should I be seeing smooth, steady readings or is it normal to bounce all over the place? What RPM are you guys seeing boost start to build? Thanks

afr on the gauge is only really important at wide open throttle, 10.5-11 wot .... any leaner (higher numbers) is getting dangerous (at wot)
14.7 is stoik at cruise, but this is just a generality for turbo gaspots...
but you better ask the boss there what he wants to see with his kit on this engine and when

It is normal for them to fluctuate/bounce. The computers are old tech and not precise at all. The 95's fluctuate more than 96-97's. At idle the AFR's will bounce between 13's and 15's trying to be at 14.7:1 same when cruising. Light to mid acceleration you’ll see them drop into the 13’s. Heavy/WOT you should see AFR's drop down to 12 and lower. The computer is reactionary so it takes a few seconds for the fuel to catch up and show on the gauge

If you cut the crank case vent you can rotate the aluminum intake pipe so that the 1” hose lays on top of the airbox. It’ll be a bit cleaner and away from the heat!
