This style of Euro lens was for a side blinker, due to their regulations. No side markers there, at least not then.

That photo is from my previous 60. I moved those lenses over to my current 60 though, still run ‘em. And no the lenses don’t make it a blinker - I’d need to reconfigure the electronics to make the bulb flash.

@Cruiser Cult didnt we talk at one point about how we could make the US spec side marker be fully lit when the lights were on, yet still flash with the blinker? I think that’s how a lot of the US spec VW/Audi vehicles work.
My 88 HJ60 Euro import runs these same side markers in the front, but they only blink with the turn signals. They aren't on with the running lights. No rear side markers either.

Any idea where to find new ones? Only place I know of I ordered them but it's been a few months and still no shipment.

Did not know about that site, thanks for the tip!
I'll second the suggestion for Cruiser World - that's where I got my Euro/Scandinavian spec side marker lenses. Shipping from the Netherlands wasn't really that bad. The ones you're showing I think were from some parts of Europe and Africa. I may be wrong, but the limited evidence I can find points to that.

Hey everyone! An introduction for our small enterprise. We have mainly been on Instagram, and a little here in the classifieds on mud, but are all LOOOOONG time Mud members. We are a group of like minded cruiser-heads who wanted to come together and not only share our love for these amazing vehicles but develop some cool products for them as well. Check out our IG account @the_cruiser_cult and www.cruisercult.com for more info on us and what we have been up to! Lots of great content from historical facts, literature, interviews with experts in the cruiser world and our own generated content.

In addition to that we have been ramping up development of products and wanted to have a dedicated thread to share these projects. A lot of thought goes into everything we make so why not share that with you all.
I installed a new carburetor in my 1986 Toyota Land Cruiser, but sometimes it starts to shudder and emits a black color from the exhaust. I am sure that there is a problem with the wiring connection , and I do not know where to start. I hope you can help me, because all the electricians fail to find out the reason.

Hello Nashwan,
We are definitely not carb gurus, but I would suspect that the new carb is maybe not fully tuned. Is this a new aftermarket carb? Because sometimes even those have issues. Have you run through the FSM on tuning it correctly? What makes you think its something electrical? I would start your own dedicated thread here in the tech section so people will see it and offer helpful advice. There are some serious carburetor gurus here on the board that can help get you sorted. :D

That reminds me I still need to get a pair of steering knuckle light brackets....
