Anti-Theft Harness Kits are live today.

Protect your rig. Ruin someone else’s day and not yours.

Options for FJ60 and Diesel trucks. Choose from 2 Layers of protection for FJ62 (will even work combined 😉)

Kits are made with high quality Japanese connectors and allow you to mount the switch in a location of your choosing. You can even get more creative and swap the switch out for stock looking dash button or more creative switch.

@Cruiser Cult

Interested in the FJ60 Anti-theft harness (and I realize you want to keep details obscure for obvious reasons), but is it possible to post some pix of the harness itself so we can get an idea of construction and perhaps, what's involved with install?

If you don't want to post, I understand.

Thanks!

Ordered. Thank you for the explanation. I've been wanting to do something like this for a while but it's just one of those things that always get put on the 'to do' list because of other things, UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE!:oops:

This should be an easy plug 'n play and nice construction, too!

Cheers!

Thank you for the support and kind words! Definitely one of those projects that easily gets pushed down the list. It took me years to finally bite the bullet and design and build a system for my own rig, So we wanted to make it an easier project for people. It's always good to try and protect these classics. :)

Recently added @Snicklephritz87 to our parts reproducers page! :) Some seriously cool reproduction parts are bring made. Excited to see where he takes it!:cool:

We hope the page provides an easy way to find all the various efforts to bring back NLA parts. Cheers to all the creators picking up the torch. If you know of any we missed and should add, let us know.

Up today is a super cool and freshly scanned brochure from the 1981 Tokyo Motor show featuring the "Almighty Land Cruiser" concept! Full brochure up on the site.

The copy next to the photo reads: “Almighty Land Cruiser: High roof structure with electric sunroof. The rear seats are hydraulically lifted up to the sunroof opening and rotated 360 degrees. With a simple operation, the seat can be turned completely flat, allowing two people to take a nap. Equipped with all the tools necessary for outdoor life, it is a versatile cruiser that can be used anywhere and can be enjoyed.” :grinpimp:

I tried hard to find a real life photo of this truck. It apparently really existed, as a concept at least. If you look at the last page of the brochure map, you will see a spot and display saved on the showroom floor for it! So it must have been on display. If anyone has a real life photo of this truck we would really love to see it. We can add it to the brochure PDF.

Just a small update on the HVAC LED light. We were ready to go to production but it was going to cost more than we wanted it to. So we went back and simplified it much more, while retaining the same functionality. Win Win for everyone. Will report back soon.

Looking forward to seeing how this ultimately pans out.

Just an observation, besides the front marker lights being the raised Euro version, that 60 lacks a rear marker light on the quarter panel.
Good eye! Yeah, the different lighting regulations between the US and Europe, and thus the different specs are really interesting. I ordered a pair of tail light from Europe and they indeed did not have the little side pigtail for the rear quarter lights like on our US rigs. I'll have to modify them later to work with my truck.

This style of Euro lens was for a side blinker, due to their regulations. No side markers there, at least not then.

That photo is from my previous 60. I moved those lenses over to my current 60 though, still run ‘em. And no the lenses don’t make it a blinker - I’d need to reconfigure the electronics to make the bulb flash.

@Cruiser Cult didnt we talk at one point about how we could make the US spec side marker be fully lit when the lights were on, yet still flash with the blinker? I think that’s how a lot of the US spec VW/Audi vehicles work.

Yes! We should get back into that. I think I had figured out a way but I’ll have to go back and check.

I think I figured out a way too. At least in my head, I haven't put it to paper yet.
