Just a reminder folks:

1. I am no longer conducting business through IH8MUD.com. Nor can I be contacted through IH8MUD.com anymore. All communications must go through email or telephone only.

2. There is no "public" or implied IH8MUD.com discount. There is no " But I own a Land Cruiser too" discount.

Thanks much.

What is going on? This is getting to be a common occurrence!

I too would like to know. I haven't seen this level of....I don't know what to call it. Are other vendors having problems with customers Onur? I get you are frustrated with cheap customers but I did not know it was to the level where you had to post this much about it.

Basically, it comes down to "too many avenues of communication". By limiting his avenues of doing business he's able to better manage order requests, consulting requests. That's why he's not on FB, G+, etc... because people would expect him to respond to any and all messages.

What if your boss could contact you 24-7 via text, phone, email, FB Messenger, FB posts, IH8MUD posts, IH8MUD conversations, Instagram, et al? You'd go bonkers too!

With email he can at least sort orders into sub folders, consulting requests into sub folders, etc... and keep things somewhat under control. With PM/conversations its much harder to manage.

And by instituting a minimum order threshold, he's eliminating the time devoted to $5 gasket orders so he can attend to more serious parts orders.

Consider if you spent 15 minutes of email back and forth to make sure you were obtaining the right gasket for a customer (who's probably better served by going through their local dealership anyway). Now compare that same block of time on email for an axle rebuild kit. If the axle rebuild guy walked into a dealer, they would most assuredly miss some necessary parts for the job, and more than likely stand there with a quizzical look on their faces. That's where Onur's expertise is of value to this community and why he is insisting on these new rules of engagement.

Once the buying market learns that he's not the MUD discount guy he once was, it will benefit this community better (quality and value of services rendered); and, Onur will not be as stressed doing the job of a team of experts, rolled into one human being.

A sale without a profit is a gift. The lad does NOT run a gift shop, he deserves to make a living. Too many people seem to think that it is OK for them to make money but not the people they try to buy from........

I was supposed to be in the office today but I received word from my brother on Saturday that we had convinced my mother to leave Turkey. As such, I was away from the office today spending time with my mother. So I apologize. I know people need their parts and all of the rest.

But my mother will always come first.

I picked her up from the ATL airport last night; a large psychological burden has been lifted off of my shoulders.

Welcome home Mom.

Glad your mother is safe. Are things getting dangerous over there ie: due to the current government?

@beno if they don't understand family comes first I'm sorry for them. There's no need for you to apologize for making sure your mother is safe.

Welcome home mom.

Great news.

Nothing more important than family.

F@#$%%^$ them if cruiser parts are more important than that.
