Love the front bumper. It looks nearly exactly like what I've been wanting to replace my horrible ARB. Did you buy a complete Coastal kit or would they sell you the center section/ winch cradle only?

Nice job! Cruiser is looking great.

I hit Coastal up and requested just the center section, which apparently is a common request. He then emailed me an invoice and it shipped pretty dang fast (within days).

It really had me thinking about the 100 in general - I think most people like the classic, period-correct, or Aussie look? I kinda took this 100 series approach from a different angle stylistically I guess. Tube front and rear bumpers, "modern" grille. Will see how it turns out, but I began to appreciate the classic Aussie look a bit more as time passed.

Imo, yours looks fantastic so far. The front bumper is about perfect (to me) . Wheels are a great choice, etc.

Having wheeled the crap out of mine with the big ARB (which I assume you are equating to Aussie style), I'm over it. It looks cool, tough, etc, but it's a liability on obstacles. If I lived in deer or steer country maybe it would make more sense but the only thing I'm really at risk of running over in Atlanta are homeless people or Dodge Chargers. One is light weight and the other is only plastic.

You're my inspiration to build a better bumper. That, and @Wermz buying a tubing bender soon 😄

"....but the only thing I'm really at risk of running over in Atlanta are homeless people or Dodge Chargers":rofl::rofl::rofl:

Yea, wasn't a big fan of ARBs and stuff before, but I "get it" a bit more now. However yes not the best bumper for wheeling. Clearance is always king for that!

Well, I'll be curious to see what you come up with! Once I get my bumper PC'd and the lights added, I'll post it up again here so you can take a look. Here's a sneak peek (just used for mock-up temporarily, planning to use the flood portion of the lens cover on the bottom vs top):

How do I delete postings here? Sheesh.

Three dots on the bottom of your post (if you're on mobile) I think it's top right of the post on browser.

I was wondering if I'd be able to swap my 8" lights to a bumper like yours but seeing your light bar on it, that's probably the move.

It might be a feature for Silver Star (and up) contributors to the forums, so I'm not sure if I can delete posts.

You can build a higher center hoop for your 8s? Get creative?

Looks awesome. Only suggestion I would have is to bevel the edges of the opening in the recovery points before powder. Your soft shackles will thank you.

I see the holes in the steel below the can holder. What do you have planned for those? Another mount of some kind?

Oh, those are for the license plate. If I think that's what you're talking about.

.....and recovery points? I'm never getting stuck, I'm INVINCIBLE!!! ;)

I'm trying to remember if they were on the other steel bumpers I've had in the past....don't recall. But good point.

@choyota loving how well the rear bumper compliments the front - very difficult to find 2 different fabricators to carry out a similar vision especially with a V1 product

Can you do me a solid and ask Nguyen what latch and handle he uses for his swingouts? That black billet handle looks sharp 😎

The billet one is E3 Machine, but not sure about the regular one. Is that what you're talking about?

The guy who did my front bumper used to work as a welder for Nguyen Works, they remain close friends and their shops are located a few football fields away from each other, essentially. So I dropped my LX off for the front and he just drove it over to their shop for the rear.

Can’t wait to see the bumpers powdered and lights installed!

What roof rack set up you running?

If you want an honest opinion, I'd prefer the rear bumper sides on the 4Runner.... and I think it would match fine with your front bumper.
