Those are nice Matt! You should post the Def knob you did for me and my cig lighter— now those are FLY! Am quite certain you are up at 1:30 a.m. EST

I'm sure that many Cruisers have had the choke cable replaced over the years. My 2/71 has an early choke cable installed. No idea which PO did it. It wasn't my brother or me.

Questions about the 82-84 illuminated choke cable. Same bulb as a headlight switch by chance?
Anyone got one for sale or have a good picture of one?

I restored 2 Illuminated choke cables

the one with the text word CHOKE is For a 1983-1984 FJ40

The Font LOGO is a FJ60

1985 FJ60 USA Spec. Non-Illuminated Choke cable assy Kit :

- This was one of the More Challenging Choke cable Jobs i have had in a while

- I was able to source the Main Choke cable assy new with little effort

- But the Knob & Retainer ring nut proved to be a challenge

- I got the inner-web & started to Hunt , I found myself on Ebay.com/Costa-Rica

- i quickly found a Knob and Buy It Now , shipping took about a week , oddly enough it is a USAv spec. knob with the Text Word CHOKE on it

- i started calling ALL the usual and not so Usual USA Land Cruiser parts Vendors for the trim ring nut , i got Lucky with one , they had several

NOS ones , so i bought all they had in-stock for future jobs

This is a 1971 40 Series Throttle Cable

- Fully restored back to period correct spec's

- New coil spring Liner housing w/ modern Nylon core for better then NOS gliding in and out

- New Solid Core cable wire

- Steel & Brass Guide tube polished Out " Bright " & Low temp marine grade Low luster clear Baked on

- Knob details Text Font Logo are very challenging on this style / year era cable due to there small size , so Hobby Grade

Magnification Glasses had to be worn in this phase
