Hi All, new to me fj40, rough running since purchase, needed choke pulled out almost fully to run her (but grateful that I got her to run at all). Changed and set points/plugs/condenser/coil/plug lines/vacuum pipes/flushed gas tank/new fuel filter. Still rough. Skimmed intake manifold, new...

I know that new cables from Toyota do not include the knob, I'm selling a knob along with the mounting nut and washer for $20. Buyer pays shipping. Best to email me shmukter@pa.metrocast.net
84 FJ60... swapped to EFI, and the mechanic removed my choke handle.
1. I could just buy a new choke handle and stick it in there (would it stay put?)
2. Are there any other good ideas for that hole to the left of the steering wheel?
So... I have a funny question... why is there, what appears to be, a choke on my 1987 HJ61?
I searched the mud forum for about the last 30 min and havent figured out what the heck that thing is... I have never seen something like that on a diesel before! ... could be ignorance, could be a...
I'm looking for a stock choke knob for my 84 FJ60 ("choke" written out on the knob). Any info about potential sources would also be appreciated.

What was I to do? There were plenty of aftermarket...
