Not much progress to report. Digging around 'mud to figure out how the glow plugs get power and found a thread with a picture of the jumper-strip that goes to the glow plug closest to the fire-wall from the strip that gets power. Remembered seeing the same jumper in the bin of left-over parts in my garage...and amazingly found it.
Bolted up the clutch slave cylinder, the vehicle originally had a USPS mounted slave, this clutch has a USDS slave. Looks like if I change out the soft line with the orginal soft line (~3-inches longer), it will all bolt-up and I'll have a working clutch.
Found the accelerator pedal for the troopy and bolted it up. Also found the BJ60 bell crank and 'throttle' cable. I'll need to make a mounting plate to attach the BJ60 bell crank and cable bracket to the 4* fire wall, and adjust the length of the rod that goes from the bell crank to the accelerator pedal, but it shouldn't be too difficult to get that working.
The stock fuel tank has two lines coming out of it, a supply and return I assume. Don't need a return on the BJ, so I need to figure out which line is the supply on the tank and block off the return, then need to plumb the supply to the sedimenter (need to mount the sedementer as well) then plumb to the injection pump. There is no 'lift' pump on this system is there? Once the injection pump is primed, it supplies fuel on it's own?
Bought a cheap Group 34 battery, need to get another one (need to sell some stuff) I liked the size of the Group 34 it as well as it's specs. Will most likely build a simple dual battery tray out of some 3/4 angle and get the batteries installed, then start sorting the wiring. I will have to extend some of the vehicle's wires to reach as the stock battery and starter were on the USPS and this set-up is opposite.
