Up and running around the neighborhood before the new year. Amazing man!

Can't believe I actually did it. Here is a pic of how it sits. I think I can just add the spacers in the front and if I build a pretty stout bumper in the rear it should all be good.

Looks good! Wheels look nicely centered in the wheelwells. Did you consider changing wheel base?

Good starting point for the NewYear, congrats.

Tremendous work!
I look forward to a summary of the details of the suspension swap... I'd love to do that to MY 60!

Sweet man, you make guys like me look like slackers! :o Hows about some 35-37" rubber? Rides nice I bet.....

Thanks. Yes some 35" are what I'm looking at. The back is actually quite stiff. 863's in the rear. I've decided to build a double swing out bumper with rear quarter panel sliders integrated in the rear. One swing out for a tire and one for a jerry can and high lift. That should weigh it down pretty good. Also putting a winch and building a bumper for the front bumper. I'm sure the rear bumper will be heavier than the front so it should sit pretty nice with 35"s once all said and done.

Thank you. I'll do the best I can.

WOW!!!!

Amazing bulild - in such short time too. That's simply incredible! I'm in Highlands Ranch...so I'll have to run down and see this in person asap!

I've had difficulty getting shifters to line-up in my FJ80 when I put in the H41 and Toybox. Went with Georg's twin stick kit. His setup makes it easy...but still took 3 or 4 times to get them in the stock holes :)

Looks amazing - can't wait to see it!

Thank you very much.

The interior needs a decent amount of work and it needs a fresh coat of paint. I think I might go with MetricTLC's leather seat kit. Brown with Tan stitching. Should look pretty nice!!!

Should I keep the 80 series wheels or go with these?

Wow! I bet it rips around pretty nice.

GREAT JOB and SUPER FAST WORK!!
Congrats on the short down time.
So you just took the 80 series suspension components and fit them to the 60 series frame?
Hell of a lot easier (in theory) than making the 60 series tub fit the 80 chassi.
Ill be curious to see how it handles when you really get some drive time with it!!

Nice work and again..,, congrats!!

In theory it is easier to do the body swap if you have a lift and a shop. So for us guys who don't it is much easier to swap all the suspension. :-)

Thanks. I'm curious to see how it handles too. Especially with new tires and the steering knuckle fixed. I'm actually thinking about three linking the front so I can easily adjust the caster.

They are for sale. Come get them by Tuesday morning and they are yours for $150.

We're you able to maintain the stock 80 series angles for the control arms and such or does that not matter for on road handling?

I didn't take angle measurements. But from the looks of everything it looks really good. I'm not going to be doing any crazy wheeling with this so anti squat numbers don't mean that much to me. I will take some measurements once I get tires and see what I have just for curiosity. Ideally you want your numbers to be close to 100.(at least that's what most of the forums seem to agree upon) When I built my jeepster I had 96 in the rear and 94 in the front and it crawled like a beast. I don't notice a difference in on road handling between the two. When I jump on it it doesn't seem to squat down or rise up in the rear so it technically should be pretty close.

Had a little setback. The knuckle was actually bent!! I thought it was the steering arm that was causing problems. Not sure how that happened. Almost look like it dropped right a stud and bent it up. Guess when you buy a wrecked car these things will happens. In the pic you can see the left side bent upwards. Got another one and it's all back together today. Drives straight and rides nice. Now I need me some tires. The NV4500 is fun!

Beautiful! Love the stance. Any chance we'll see her in person at the Colorado Land Cruisers meeting Tuesday? :D

What time and where? I'm not making any promises. I have a very full week.
