Are you asking total height of my truck with the rack or just the height of the rack by itself? Total height of the truck with the rack (unloaded) is ~6'10". I know because the parking garage as my office is 6'11" at the entrance and I clear but about an inch.If you have some time or you know,
What is the overall top of roof rack height and what are you running for a lift?
the J's are roughly a 3.5" springYes that's what I was asking, and exactly for the parking garage reason, most garages in town are in the 6' 8"
I'd be close without the 2" spacer, what does J claim for lift?

Yes you are correct and thanks for the description. I have been aware of the origins of the name in Literature. So there are several fitting reasons we chose it but the main one still remains the RUSH song Cygnus X-1 where a space traveler is on a voyage through space in his ship named the Rocinante. I've been a RUSH fan since I can remember liking music. Along those lines, sad to hear the Neil Peart has retired from touring. I guess I've seen my last RUSH concert.I love this truck...
Rocinante was originally the name of Don Quixote's horse... John Steinbeck also used it as the name of the truck he drove around the US in Travels with Charley as both served a similar purpose.
Nothing against the name you chose, especially with family input...it is a nod to a song in which it was a nod to Steinbeck who was nodding to Cervantes...
Another good name(in the theme of horses) would have been Sleipnir... This is Odin's horse and was supposed to be the best of all horses. It was also grey in color...just seems more fitting for such a badass truck!
Thanks. I'm glad to hear that I can inspire even a little bit more motivation for others to get out and explore in their trucks. I know I have relied on many others for that same motivation, and I'm grateful they were willing to share their experiences.Great idea and great write up. As I've said before, you inspire some of us and we all need a little when the 'couch' and home life get's a little too comfortable !
Regards...
