Hey Box Rocket what springs are you running. Looks good. Do you ever load it heavy enough to level it out?

It sits almost level when it's unloaded. But yes I carry plenty of weight when I have my whole family (6 of us) plus gear, plus the RTT and pulling the trailer. Here's a shot with no gear or people in the truck and no RTT on the cruiser but pulling an empty trailer with RTT.

I'm running OME J springs with 1.5" coil spacers.

It sits similar to mine. I started off a year ago with J's up front and 863's rear for a pretty level stance but decided I want more so for a cheap experiment I bought Slee 1" poly spacers. The rear spacer is more like 1 3/16. I sit a little more stinkbug than you unloaded. I figure this will allow me more height while testing the J spring rate for a season before I pull the trigger on taller rear springs to get rid of the spacer. Based on the loads you carry, the J's should be enough for me and of course the MT spacer in front. Thanks for the info. Super nice looking 80 too btw.

Man, I'm pretty jealous if that rack/rtt! And I like the tent with the lower section like yours. Is it possible to warm up your rig, and turn the heater in full blast with the RR window down to heat the tent for a few minutes, without the exhaust being an issue? Always thought that would be a cool (warm) trick right before hitting the sack.

I suppose that could be possible, if you had the tent open on the driverside away from the exhaust. It probably would not be the most efficient way to heat it since it would be difficult to seal the tent opening around the open window so you'd probably have some of the heat escape, but it could work.

The girlfriend is working at OR this week - she spotted something she knew I'd like..."of course you know them..."

Cool. Yeah we actually have two spots at the show. We have my 80 setup at that outdoor location and also a booth inside with my trailer setup with another model tent. From her pics it looks like I was probably inside at the time she came by. But the guy in the Tepui shirt is Evan, the founder of the company.

@Townsend I think your girlfriend came by the booth again today and chatted a bit with the founder. Might be looking to her company a bit for some assistance in the future.

Yessir - she told me you guys chatted and discussed True Hero. That would be awesome - I've worked with them in the past and they do things the right way for sure.

Got my SCS Wheels SR8's mounted up on the 80 this morning. I really like them and the quality of the wheels is great! These have a small lip for the center cap that needs to be machined off o fit over the wheel hub on the 80. It was a pretty simple tweak for a great wheel.

That is one sweet looking truck!

Snapped some better photos of the SCS wheels so here's a few for anyone looking for aftermarket wheels for their Cruiser. I really like the SCS stuff. These are 16x8 with 4" BS which is perfect IMO on the 80. It's puts the outer edge of the tire out flush with the fender flares for a really nice look. I still need to really stuff them but initial flexing of the suspension doesn't rub the flares.
