Nice...Can we expect to see it at GSMTR next year????

Looks awsome! Just sold my 80 and looking for a 100/470 to do something similiar. Again it looks very good.

She's looking very nice Heather!

Very nice. Congrats.

Thanks y'all! I wish I was more hands on (well, hands on at all) with the build, but no time and ACC is just so good!

As for GSMTR, that's a LONG ass drive from Houston! But anything is possible. Maybe y'all could come to the Round Up this year?

Depending on the status of the GX both GSMTR and LSRU are possible for me.

Heather, love the truck.

I have a question about the winch. I looked at the Ironman winches and they appear to be identical to the Rough Country 9500 and 12k winchs that came out last year. Even down to the wireless remote.

I know you can get a RC 9500 with synthetic rope and a hawse lead for $400, is the Ironman withing striking distance of the Rough Country?

Thanks,
Jeremy

I was there during the bumper install last week. I'll add that the Ironman bumper is a really well thought-out design. The new crossmember gets mounted to the front of the frame and the winch bolts directly to that. That new crossmember is stout and it cradles the winch much lower (than the other similar looking bumper) so you have plenty of room to reach in and operate the clutch lever. Which means a couple things... the winch is set closer to the center mass of the truck and its tucked to the inside of the bumper cavity. It does not mount to the "outer shell" of the bumper, so if your bumper takes a whack, your winch will likely survive. And most importantly, it also means you don't need a forklift to install the bumper.

Eli Spigler from Camel 4x4/Ironman was there the same day I was and I talked with him a good bit. Don't underestimate the new kid on the block. They have their own manufacturing plant in Oz, that from one end of the building to the other, builds just about every part from scratch. They have their own R&D department that is capable of designing custom military suspension systems (and they do). They don't source any parts from Asia (edit: I read on their website they source some seals from Japan), as most are made and assembled in their plant, and then shipped to NJ (Camel 4x4's port and warehouse) for US distribution.

Yes, I think so. I haven't seen my bill just yet, but I think the winch I got was somewhere around $500? I chose to put one in now because the price was good (around $500) and I wanted to go ahead and do it based on my experience installing the winch in the FJ.

I have seen the Prado and Hilux bumpers may fit a US spec Tacoma. I am getting an Aussie Prado 120 bumper for my GX470. The similar Hilux would probably fit yours.
