Just as a data point, I just followed these thorough directions and did my clutch. It was set to 112 degrees to open originally!!! 

I reset the timing to 96 degrees which was as close as I could clearly see after several straigt confirmations. I also added two tubes of 6K fluid. I will report back on my findings from this modification although I'm amazed that the stock clutch setting was so high! I think that my Rod Davis Radiator really helped me here. I wanted to get this going prior to the end of our summer high heat temps to compare oranges to oranges as much as possible. Anyways, Rick, thanks again as always for helping us here.
