Nice. Sounds perfect.
I had to take out the mechanical fan while I wait for a shorter spacer. So drove it and only occasionally used the electric fans when I increased speed above 70.

I had to attend a promotion ceremony in Fredericksburg over the weekend. It was held at the Nimitz museum. I didn't realize the museum in central Texas can hold its own against the one in Hawaii.

They have reenactments using real flamethrowers and captured Japanese tanks about once a month. I highly recommend visiting if you're in town. It will take you two days to properly tour the place.

Today I took big red over to my friend Lee's place to help him build props for his hula-ween party. He got a set of wings from a wwii plane to use as a bar top .

I was hoping to do some wheeling afterwards, but it got dark and I had to come back home.

Lee's parties are legendary. A band, bbq and tons of booze. I'll be camping on his land, so we can party all night.

Started work at a new duty station. It's about 115 miles from my house. I drove big red there last night. Averaged 19.5 miles per gallon doing mostly 70 mph. On one occasion i had to speed up to 85 because a semi and a BMW were acting like jerks.
The temp never got over 200F and mostly stayed at 190F. I guess the sweet spot is 85 F ambient temp.

I added a mechanical fan that flexes which helped a lot, but will switch it out with another that flexes a bit more to see if there are any significant changes.

Made it to a land cruiser meeting finally. Saw some old friends and met some ones.
Really cool rigs.

Thanks man. It was good catching up today.

Been doing some light maintenance work. Replaced the leaking fuel filter, put on a slightly larger mechanical fan thaty9 flexes a bit more. By doing that I ended up rubbing the radiator hose. So I replaced that Ann's realized i need a new accelerator cable. I ordered one and should be here tomorrow morning.

Hope ya had a great Veterans Day Mike. Thanks for your service.
Thanks man. I got to spend it with family, that's all I could ever ask for.

Ok internet gurus, I need to source that accelerator cable and Edwin said he had to order it from Australia. Fits a Diesel 60 or 62. Anyone have a part number?

Is it special or just a cable that goes from pedal to pump? Maybe a bike shop can make one?

That's not a bad idea. The problem is I'm not in town to drive it around to get it sized. Rather have a plug and play so when I'm back up here I can just switch it out.
