This arrived in the mail today. The psi reading goes up to 220. Had good reviews and was around $10.

I had to buy a fitting from home Depot that cost about $1.

I think I'm officially done with buying things for inflating tires.

I cut the exhaust pipe to the minimum, mostly out of curiosity.

I want to see how much eliminating the narrow bend would lower my egt.

The smoke is dissipating quickly and the turbo whistle is louder. I'm about to take the dog to the park and will see if there's any noticeable diffrence.

I bet it made difference.
When i reworked my exhaust, turbo response and sound () was noticeable different. More in my thread w/pics.
I don't have EGT gauge so can't tell how big of difference i made but there must be some. Less bends, bigger pipe, better flow.
If you have space, try to fit bigger pipe, and use as less bends as you could. You'll not regret.

They have these gauges everywhere. They all have a scale that goes to 220. Makes inflating tires to 32 psi impossible. I want one with a gauge that goes up to 50

I'm loving the response and sound. The engine sounds like an angry tractor and the turbo whine became a full blow whistle like an old deuce and a half .
The engine feels more responsive, but honestly that could be in my head since it sounds louder. I need to drive it more and on the highway to see if there's any noticeable drop in EGT. Right now I'm gonna drive it the way it is to see if I can get away with it at inspection time. If I have to get pipes it will definitely be bigger and straighter ones.

"Hey boys, let's see how she runs with NO exhaust!!" :hillbilly: :steer: :hillbilly:

don't think I didn't think about it. if it wouldn't blow all that smoke into the cab , I would have done it years ago :(

So finally took it on the highway. Yes it's louder, but I'm getting 14 psi of boost while cruising and doing 77-80 mph more easily. Hopefully this isn't a one off event. EGT seem to be the same but engine is more responsive to the pedal.

This just happened. Wad hard to take a photo while driving. Sorry for the glare

I'm wrapping up a two week exercise in Thailand. Had some good training and some great fun. Got to see tons of Toyota diesels, mainly Hilux and some 70 series stuff. The most impressive (to me ) was this non turbo Isuzu engine that can be found on almost all their skiffs. It's able to navigate the high seas all while moving about 20 people; it uses salt water to keep cool.

I got to eat this little guy and some scorpions

Washed them down with this

Then went on to "invade" another Island

In all seriousness, this was good times and good training. I'll be headed back to the US soon where I'm expecting a few packages to be waiting for me when I get there.

Is the app down? I haven't been able to load any pictures or updates from my phone since I've returned from overseas. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it with no result.

It's done for good I believe.

Thanks for the quick reply Cim. That sucks, now it's gonna take me 5 extra minutes to post and do a write up. Someone needs to talk to Woody about this :p.

Yeah real bummer. I loved how easy it was to upload photos.

So I'm really annoyed that the app no longer works. I had a ton of great Thailand pics and a few Land Cruiser pics to upload, but I'm too lazy to transfer them to the computer :(.

So I took a few hours off of work today to go vote and work on my truck. I had ordered a matching steel wheel from Trail Worthy Fab to have as a spare. I mounted one of the extra BF Goodrich tires I have laying around and installed a magnesium run flat. Used balancing beads and bolted everything up.

Here's how it looked like before with the Creepy Crawler as a spare.

Here's what it looks like when it was all said and done.

The tire weights a ton now, It's a two man job to mount it that high, though I did manage to hurt myself doing it alone:bang:.

I took this opportunity to use my ARB compressor to inflate from 0 PSI to around 28 PSI. It took roughly two minutes, but the compressor got really hot.

I also decided to drill two larger breather holes in the Longhorn pit that @reevesci made for me.

I think When it's all said and done I've added about 150 lbs on that rear left swing arm. Good thing Jason builds things like a tank.

Now I guess I need to sell those creepy crawlers to make room in my shed.

What size are the Crawlers?

:hungry:

It's a good thing I can't run 15" wheels because I would be all over those and it's the last thing I need right now.

Just get some thick spacers. You know you want 37s...;)
