Whats that cord laying on the exhaust pipe? chance of melting?

Sent from my SM-G900I

I think it's the speedo cable. I need to zip tie it better.

Thinking out loud. Should I spend $240 on aisin locking hubs and have them installed with the air lockers and chromoly axles. Or should I keep the warn hubs in hopes that should anything break it won't be the wheel spacer but the hub itself. Or is the warn locking hub stronger than the spider trax spacers?

I'm not a fan of spacers but I can't imagine they are going to break any differently than a regular wheel stud. It's just 24 more nuts to keep torqued properly as routine maintenance. Mine came loose on my old Jeep and sheared the studs off the rear axle while driving. I blame myself for not checking the torque. Totaled vehicle later I learned my lesson.
Aisin are much sexier than warns.

Yes, but are they $240 sexy?

Did you not use red locktite on your spacers?

No locktite. Just torque them down.
$240 sexy is up to you. I think they look right on a Land Cruiser.

Can't you find some used ones for cheaper than $240 Mike? New would be nice I suppose, but those hubs were used on a lot of Toyotas pre 1990 so they shouldn't be hard to find in a junk yard.

There's actually an fj60 at the pick and pull yard past the airport on 71, might be worth a look.

It had some s***ty warn hub that I left on the ground when I pulled the knuckles off of it.

Thanks for saving me the trip. I've personally never had an issue with my warns, so I guess this could wait until I get $240 richer.

The ones that were on it were spray painted green and had seen better days.

You'll break the hubs or the hub studs before a wheel spacer or wheel lug.

Dropped Big Red off to get lockers installed. Early Christmas present.

How do you like Edwin's new shop? The location rocks.
It's bigger and better than the old place. I bet you like it, right next to your house.

Is that a different 62 or is that an older picture?
It's a different one. They weren't close enough to take a side by side picture.

It was better before :flipoff2:

You will LOVE having lockers. Especially selectable.
