don't jinks me Dave, no not running DC . It actually looks straighter, but we'll see one I hit the highway. So far no vibration at 50 mph, only sounds different from the exhaust. Not louder, just different.

Nice! I'm def curious to see if how much the new airbags limit articulation, if at all.

Why did you have your old airbags on the backside of the leaf spring? I'm running mine on the front side. What was the reasoning for that? Just curious :)

And does having your exhaust dump into the middle of your truck create an issue for fumes if you're idling in town or on a trail?

If I remember correctly, I tried mounting them on the front at first, but the leaf spring skid plate is kinda large so the bags would have mounted where there's a whole in the frame, so there's no way to bolt it on.

Ok just drove it for 3 hours on the highway. Here's what I have noticed:
- this truck rides higher and hugs curves better. The suspension is stiff and there's no leaning like before when you turned.
- I somehow managed to drive on average 77mph and at one point made it to 86mph. At 86, the EGT were 1100 and the Boost was at 17PSI. I've never had it go higher that 12 PSI in 5th gear, so I'm wondering if the cold air and cutting the exhaust in half had anything to do with it. Thoughts?

So definite improvement on highway driving. I suspect if I deflate the bags when off road then I'll get the articulation I've always had. We'll see.

Be safe & thank you for your service. Wearing that uniform is a privilege and an honor.

Welcome aboard & looking fwd to your build.

oops - welcome back!

It was the cold dense air and a happy fool on the skinny pedal :)

So you're saying figure out a way to have dry ice at the intake at all times?

My egts were down about 200 driving yesterday in our "fall" weather around here.

Sweet, i like the Firestones. Mounted them to a friends ram, and he took out a leaf to make it a bit nicer without load.
Dont know about them offroad though. Would it be enough to keep a few psi's for them to act as a bumpstop?

Nothing more significant to report. Love the way it rides.

Here's my $4 solution to making sure the exhaust air doesn't melt any bushings or rubber bags. Ghetto but functional.

Get a longer tailpipe piece and kick it out the side.
if it gives me issues in traffic I will. Right now 4 dollars is good enough.
