Cool. I did one fo someone up north recently that asked me for my last set of apron turn signals (68 feature like the steering wheel), so I though maybe.
Dang, I am surprised you had a set of the side apron turn signals..... I need to sent a carb your way when I can pull it off my 68.

It is in my driveway now. Man I want to keep this thing, but I probably ought to do a reality check. Not sure I have the time and funds to do it justice. However I think it is too late, I doubt I am going to be able to let it go. Better pics to follow, I need to vacuum it out. My day off is today so I should make some progress getting it at least cleaned up and start taking inventory. What is the red knob in glove box?

I still have them. I was putting together a package deal of 55 parts to sell as a lot. After his wife picked up the carb, I heard nothing else. :meh:

Per my signature line, you can send me your carb after thanksgiving.😉

Please see my thread in FJ40 Section under same name. Hoping some experts would add their knowledge.

Ask Tucker to move it over here!! You'll Love the knowledge , abuse, and laughter 😃 😀 😄. Hope your not Thin Skinned 😉 😜 😀 😄 😏 😆 😘

Maybe a moderator should move this to the FJ55 section? Also I am having a hard time changing where I live in my profile I don't live in Bakersfield anymore I live in Tehachapi.

I see you asked the mods to move the thread here - you may have to message them direct.
We would love to have your thread on how you got your Pig over here!

Ha - took me a bit … but I got the message! Moved and merged down here :pig:

Looks like I will need a rear axle. It is my understanding that a FJ40 axle will fit the FJ55. Is that correct? If so what year? I am feeling better, I will send some more pics this week.

I’ve not been on the pig forum in a very long time. I miss owning a pig. It’s been about seven years and I’ve own several. Counting from memory about nine or ten.
Not to sound mushy but the 50 series in very dear to me heart. Yes even the mutated fire truck model.

Congrats on this spectacular find. Toyota only made about 113,000 50 series in total. I think the year you have there were less then 7,000 made with maybe forty percent of those going to the entirety of North America. There used to be a website in Japan that had all the manufacturing information on the 50 series. It even broke down the number made each year and which sub series. The link disappeared but the man that owned that 50 was still on the site. I tried reaching him several times as well as asking someone I knew in Japan to reach out. Bummer all that info is now not readily available. I guess I could start digging again.

I’ve a 70 series now. But I still look for 55’s even though I’m not going to buy them. Maybe I should get another FJ45LV? But I’d still feel empty inside with no pig to fill the void. They really are a special beast. I look forward to seeing the progress you make on this project. Welcome to the Madness. We’re all Mad hear. 😈👍😊

Wow! @MiniPigg ? Been awhile since seeing you on here!
Ive been in limbo for the past five or so years. ;)

I didn't read through the entire thread. The F155 was used up till 1974. The 1974 FJ55 F155 was a one year only as it had the conversion to the newer 2F oiling system and the head is a good upgrade performance option for the 2F.

My health has improved a lot and I will get pics out later today. I have not done much except clean it out. There was a ton of glass. Working on getting the rear axle and associated parts back to me from Colorado. Mtn. Topper and Green Beast have been unbelievably helpful in doing this. I work for the largest carrot grower/processer in the world and it is the very busiest time of the year for us so please have a little patience with me as I get this rig back on the road. I bought my FJ40 brand new 44 years ago and I am looking forward to enjoying the FJ55. I really want to get it to the level my 40 is. I want to have it be as reliable as possible and be able to depend on it it to take me places and bring me back from them safely. I am going to need lots of help sourcing some of the rare parts I need to get it safe and legally back on the road. Awful nice group of folks here on this forum, just one question: What in the hell did you guys do to piss off the moderators to get us pushed down to the bottom of the forum list? Actually the trouble makers are where all the fun usually is!!!

Every time a new thread is created or someone replies to an existing thread, it immediately goes to the top and everything else moves down. If there hasn’t been any activity on your thread, it will just continue to move down the list until a post is made.
Sometimes what you’re looking for is deep down the list with a date corresponding to the last time a post was made.

I think he means “Why is the Pig section of Mud down in the steerage compartment?”.

Now you can say that you’ve got friends in low places!

Yup nice to know I will fit in!! Pic of passenger floor and trans hump I believe those are original heater hoses to the rear heater. Does any one reproduce the defroster tubes?
