Yup nice to know I will fit in!! Pic of passenger floor and trans hump I believe those are original heater hoses to the rear heater. Does any one reproduce the defroster tubes?View attachment 2862980
No repro defroster tubes as far as I've been able to determine. I took a broken end connector to NAPA and the found black flex hose that's a near fit that I trimmed to length and have been using for more than ten years now with no issues other than the hose occasionally slipping off the upper defrost.
 
I have not pulled anything apart yet so please don't bust my chops too hard, just need some quick info so I can start searching for parts/substitutions for parts:
1) Is the radiator on my 68 specific to FJ55s or can one from an FJ40 be made to work?
2) Do the brake lines have 9mm fittings on the 68?
3) Are the front axles the "ball and claw" type?

Radiator is best fit if you find a pre 74’ radiator and have it recored. No good stock looking units in circulation. It takes a 3 row and is thinner than the later 4 row which happened at 2F

Are you intending to restore it back to OEM?

If not I’d seriously look at upgrades to the braking system. Drums to disc on a pig is a night and day difference. Safety is paramount.

Buy a brand new four core replacement radiator made for the 55.
 
It is $800 and if that’s the route you are going just get a used and recore it. Recore will run $6-700 now depending and will be exact fit with shroud and look the part.

Do you know if a good 4-core replacement for the 55s? AFAIK, Moseley has a drop in replacement, but it is >4 bills.

Yes as long as you find a 2F 4 row. It’s what I did. The F155 shroud doesn’t have an exact line up of 1 screw for the fan shroud and it’s sitting snug against the radiator support bar. The support on a 2F has a thinner center to accommodate the 4 row. Even the straps for the tank show you the story how they are off center on a 2F and centered on a F155 and earlier.
 
Did not get off work before dark yesterday. No pics. I will get pic of fuel filter bracket later this afternoon. A pic from a while ago. Anyone recognize these hubs? I know they are Warn but have never seen this style. Does it say M70?

I would swear your taking pics of my 68 in Oklahoma. Identical! That's the same carb I pulled couple weeks ago.
