..more porno to go.. actually its quite interesting that I was struggling to find the correct veebelts. I had to change the ones I got from Gates as they were not ok for lengthband width either and their catalog is complete mess on the p/s and the a/c. First the "15A" should mean its 15mm wide however its not, it supposed to be 17mm wide and their catalog referrals are totally incorrect lengths.
The correct ones are at Dayco. The alternator belt is 15A1080, the vane pump belt is 15A1370 which is the closest to what Toyota Master Catalog brings (L:1360) and the a/c belt is 13A1250 identical to TMC (L:1250).
Now the vane pump reservoir stands straight for correct fluid level reading, too.
I have dropped in the distributor and oil filter/bracket/oem gasket.
See a close photo of these awesome double wire stainless steel water hose clamps made by @Racer65 for historical correctness.
Stainless Steel Double Wire Hose Clamp Pack for Land Cruiser FJ40 FJ60
Needless mentioning to use better quality water hoses for double wire type clamps, I run Mackay on all hoses.

Wow better then new!!!!
These VSV are easy to clogged, but rhe simple magnetic switch after taken apart is running like new. I have changed the little o - rings and cleaned the inside thoroughly so they work again like new.
The frame is a tricly but with a set of chisels and some creativity nothing was impossible..

Beautiful. Top notch detail and quality.

The blue spark plug wires, Optima battery and black valve cover look a bit out of character to this old set of eyes but still stunning all the way around.

Is it really so badly out of character?
The wires are the stock NGK so those will stay and the battery is like a set of tyres so that is my choice, but is the valve cover so bad?
I wanted to do it aluminium like the manifold but last minute I changed my mind and sprayed black.
Should it stay black or make it silver?

@koxfarm I personally think it looks great! It will look great either valve cover color, so stick to what you like!
Thanks guys.. I hear what @cd say and I wasn't sure about the cover myself.
I kinda like it this way and my 84' LX was stock black valve cover as some very late ones came black. Ok this was an 83' so probably it wasn't.
Truly..not being gullible here just trying to understand if its really of such a bad character?
