@Ayune great idea! Definitely going to do this mod. I had the P3Cars gages on my last two BMW's and really wanted to find a solution for the J100. Gages like this are indispensable in this era of "dumbed-down" instruments.

If what's needed for connection to the OBDII is ethernet cable, you can use bulk cable which is easy to fish through, and then terminate the ends. I did this with 4-wire (phone style) cable to make a custom setup for a Valentine One radar detector in a previous car.

Installed the mount. Another great product from @Ayune

I just want to say thank you to @Ayune for making products for our rigs!

Looks great. Just making sure I didn't miss anything ... Is he selling these already?

I have the first prototype without LEDs or switches, but it is setup exactly like I wanted. I think there is more to come.

Fantastic! Put me in line once the homelink version is ready for purchase!

OK folks, I have setup the online store and the ScanGauge mount is ready for purchase directly from the 3D printer.

You can buy it here:

This mount is compatible with 100-Series overhead consoles that have a swing-down sunglasses holder, garage door opener holder, or voice-memo gizmo.

Mount requires an extension cable for the ScanGauge's RJ45 cable, similar to this:

Please see the product page for more info, and feel free to ask any questions here.

I have also updated the installation instructions attached below.

Thanks to all that have expressed interest and helped the project!

Ordered !!

Thanks Ayune!

This is only for the LC version of Homelink? Is there an LX version yet? Also does anyone have recommendations on the paint that best matches the OEM grey? Thanks!

How long does shapeways take to fulfill an order? I'm asking because I won't be at my current location for more than 10 days.
Thks!

This mount will fit both LC and LX consoles, with or without HomeLink, as long as the console has the large swing-down compartment. It will not fit the "small-opening" HomeLink console as seen here. I'm developing a solution for those of you with that style of console, stay tuned!

Also, I'm working on finding a good match for the OEM grey interior paint... If anyone has a proven solution please share.

If ordered today, it looks like they'll ship July 10th. They offer a few different shipping methods for delivery between 7/11-18.

Fantastic, I'm looking forward to seeing the small opening version.

Also, would you ever offer a e-file version if we were ever to print at home to save on lead time?

He would be a fool to do that and @Ayune doesn't strike me as being a 'fool'. ;)
