/quick hijack.

What did you pay for '94 console from CDan. I'll just buzz him, but I know he is busy man. (trying to add up an order).

$120ish for the grey, shifter console with the CDan discount IIRC, retails for $140ish;)

Thanks! perfect.

Sorry back on track. Still can't really wrap my head around getting your PS window shot out and attempt jacking.

Box Rocket has a couple doors he was looking to sell. I was interested but opt'd out.

Forgot I had pix of the bullet fragments before the ocifer took them for evidence

Unfortunately, I touched them :frown:

They were lodged in the edge of the door and when I opened it, they fell on my running board and I just grabbed them thinking they were parts of door and threw them on the seat :meh: (it was dark)

It wasn't until I pulled it into the shop and hit the lights that I realized they were bullet fragments

Cop said that if I find one in the console that I should pick it up with a tweezers and carefully stick it in a ziplock bag or envelope

Shish, it appears to be a .45! I am so glad you did not have a passenger!

Chilling pictures! Glad the lead didn't meet flesh.

I apologize for the smart-ass comment on the I love New York sticker. My :princess: is a Disney fanatic and was interested that this happened in Orlando. Looks like fairly large caliber holes in your rig. These bastards need to meet someone who's packing. Those that think tougher gun laws would prevent this need to ask the Aussie's what they think about it. When they make guns tough to carry or illegal, it just makes these bastards even bolder. Here in the U.S., it's still - thank God - a fear in the back of these jerks mind that one day they'll encounter that "guy they shouldn't have ****ed with". You know, "Insured by Smith & Wesson", the Gran Torino type.

Tech content: If you're going to replace the door and insurance is paying, have you considered going to manual window type? I know I would look into it faced with the opportunity of replacing a door. Once you get the source, you could replace all of them. Don't know about you, but the older my 80 gets, the more I wish it had manual windows.

Glad you didn't get hit,"some One was watching over you" that's for sure,as some said if this would had happen in Sand country, they would have been executed. Don't take me wrong we have a great system here,but........I get a bit P.O.ed when some start questioning as to why they might done it - to the point they start to feel sorry for the perpetrators. Really?..... who gives a caca...anyways,glad you're ok.

Dam!!! Glad to hear you're safe and had no passenger. Orlando has sh*tty parts of town, especially at that hour.

FWIW my dad has a 95-97 (don't recall the year) that he's parting out. He's currently up near Daytona but will be heading home to NY in a week or so. He may be able to assist with the interior parts or a door depending on what your insurance company does for you.

Good to hear that you escaped without harm. Times like this you realize how fragile life is and how quick it can come to a halt.

98-

Glad that you are OK! Made me think of how often I travel with 2 little girls in the second row and how this SENSELESS and CRAZY attempt at your life could have been the end to yours, or a loved one/passenger. It has been mentioned, but CCW is available in FL. So, maybe, it is time: Lawful Self-Defense - Weapons - Division of Licensing, FDACS I am sure you are considering your options.

Glad you're ok. The best course of action is the one that gets you home safely with little or no consequences. Looks like your instinct chose wisely. It'll take a few months before you can fully relax again, but it'll happen.

Good luck with the repairs and we're all happy your 13 year old vehicle was reliable when you needed it to be.

That's sumthin I'd NEVER do lol

I guess I'm just lazy ;)

Glad you made it out OK!

F!@#$%G C*&^S!

Time to add a new mods thread "Flame Throwers"

YouTube - South African Car Flamethrower
BBC News | Africa | Firing on all cylinders

Another reason for a propane conversion :grinpimp:

That was actully the first thing that came to mind lol

I've been installing Flamethrowers on my cars for over 15 years now too

If these guys weren't reluctant about shooting at you for driving away, there's no telling what they would have done once you gave the vehicle to them.

In that case, you fared better as a large, ambiguous target driving away then you would have as a certain, defined target standing alone on the street.

With as unpredictable as bad guys are, you did the right thing in this instance.

Glad you're ok.

Agreed. Always run. Most people can't hit a moving target anyway. As far as your truck goes, who knows if that's even what they wanted?

Glad you're okay.

HOLY CHIT!!!!

Glad that you were OK as parts can be replaced relatively easily, but not your life!

Hope these douche bags had not been planning on getting your rig, but was just a random act!

Mot

Ditto, What others have said ! Wouldn't it be awesome if they get RAN OVER TRYING TO DO THIS TO SOMEBODY!!

they just wanted your cool ass FL tag!
